प्र मा॑ युयुज्रे प्र॒युजो॒ जना॑नां॒ वहा॑मि स्म पू॒षण॒मन्त॑रेण । विश्वे॑ दे॒वासो॒ अध॒ माम॑रक्षन्दुः॒शासु॒रागा॒दिति॒ घोष॑ आसीत्
pra mā yuyujre prayujo janānāṃ vahāmi sma pūṣaṇamantareṇa viśve devāso adha māmarakṣanduḥśāsurāgāditi ghoṣa āsīt
Do not make me contend; I bear the yoke of peoples, O Pūṣan, within. All the gods may ward off hostile rulers—thus a cry went forth.

सं मा॑ तपन्त्य॒भितः॑ स॒पत्नी॑रिव॒ पर्श॑वः । नि बा॑धते॒ अम॑तिर्न॒ग्नता॒ जसु॒र्वेर्न वे॑वीयते म॒तिः
saṃ mā tapantyabhitaḥ sapatnīriva parśavaḥ ni bādhate amatirnagnatā jasurverna vevīyate matiḥ
Like a bolt striking from all sides, the adversary presses; nakedness does not bind excess. Thought is not carried away when all are plied with fame.

मूषो॒ न शि॒श्ना व्य॑दन्ति मा॒ध्यः॑ स्तो॒तारं॑ ते शतक्रतो । स॒कृत्सु नो॑ मघवन्निन्द्र मृळ॒याधा॑ पि॒तेव॑ नो भव
mūṣo na śiśnā vyadanti mādhyaḥ stotāraṃ te śatakrato sakṛtsu no maghavannindra mṛḷayādhā piteva no bhava
They do not pierce with tusks the bull, your hymn-singer, O hundred-armed one. May Indra often praise us; may he pour out abundance upon us as a draught.

कु॒रु॒श्रव॑णमावृणि॒ राजा॑नं॒ त्रास॑दस्यवम् । मंहि॑ष्ठं वा॒घता॒मृषिः॑
kuruśravaṇamāvṛṇi rājānaṃ trāsadasyavam maṃhiṣṭhaṃ vāghatāmṛṣiḥ
O Kuruśravas, cover the king; do not affright his people. The sage is the strength of hosts.

यस्य॑ मा ह॒रितो॒ रथे॑ ति॒स्रो वह॑न्ति साधु॒या । स्तवै॑ स॒हस्र॑दक्षिणे
yasya mā harito rathe tisro vahanti sādhuyā stavai sahasradakṣiṇe
He whose chariot is not taken away—three carry it well. Praise to you with a thousand gifts.

यस्य॒ प्रस्वा॑दसो॒ गिर॑ उप॒मश्र॑वसः पि॒तुः । क्षेत्रं॒ न र॒ण्वमू॒चुषे॑
yasya prasvādaso gira upamaśravasaḥ pituḥ kṣetraṃ na raṇvamūcuṣe
He whose streams of taste are like a mountain's voice, father of heard fame. He did not reveal the battlefield to us.

अधि॑ पुत्रोपमश्रवो॒ नपा॑न्मित्रातिथेरिहि । पि॒तुष्टे॑ अस्मि वन्दि॒ता
adhi putropamaśravo napānmitrātitherihi pituṣṭe asmi vanditā
Above like a son is the heard fame; friend and guest are here. I am devoted to the honored father.

यदीशी॑या॒मृता॑नामु॒त वा॒ मर्त्या॑नाम् । जीवे॒दिन्म॒घवा॒ मम॑
yadīśīyāmṛtānāmuta vā martyānām jīvedinmaghavā mama
If there is immortality for those immortal or for mortals, may my generous ones live.

न दे॒वाना॒मति॑ व्र॒तं श॒तात्मा॑ च॒न जी॑वति । तथा॑ यु॒जा वि वा॑वृते
na devānāmati vrataṃ śatātmā cana jīvati tathā yujā vi vāvṛte
A hundred-spirited one does not live contrary to the vow of the gods. Thus the yoke was rightly borne.
