mūṣo na śiśnā vyadanti mādhyaḥ stotāraṃ te śatakrato sakṛtsu no maghavannindra mṛḷayādhā piteva no bhava
They do not pierce with tusks the bull, your hymn-singer, O hundred-armed one. May Indra often praise us; may he pour out abundance upon us as a draught.
Afflictions consume me, your worshipper Śatakratu, as mice (eat) threads, for once, Indra, possessorof opulence, grant us felicity; be to us as a father.
As rats eat weavers' threads, cares are consuming me, thy singer, gatakratu, me. Have mercy on us once, O Indra, Bounteous Lord: be thou a Father unto us.
