भ॒द्रं नो॒ अपि॑ वातय॒ मनो॒ दक्ष॑मु॒त क्रतु॑म् । अधा॑ ते स॒ख्ये अन्ध॑सो॒ वि वो॒ मदे॒ रण॒न्गावो॒ न यव॑से॒ विव॑क्षसे
bhadraṃ no api vātaya mano dakṣamuta kratum adhā te sakhye andhaso vi vo made raṇangāvo na yavase vivakṣase
Bless us, O Wind, grant mind apt and dexterous, strength and mighty sacrificial power. Let not blind foes prevail against us in battle; let not the herd be driven low.

हृ॒दि॒स्पृश॑स्त आसते॒ विश्वे॑षु सोम॒ धाम॑सु । अधा॒ कामा॑ इ॒मे मम॒ वि वो॒ मदे॒ वि ति॑ष्ठन्ते वसू॒यवो॒ विव॑क्षसे
hṛdispṛśasta āsate viśveṣu soma dhāmasu adhā kāmā ime mama vi vo made vi tiṣṭhante vasūyavo vivakṣase
Touched in the heart, Soma sate in all abodes. Here are our desires; these dwell in my power—wealthy ones remain steadfast, bestowers of riches, grant us your gifts.

uta vratāni soma te prāhaṃ mināmi pākyā adhā piteva sūnave vi vo made mṛḷā no abhi cidvadhādvivakṣase
I declare your observances, O Soma, and the rites for men and for sacrifice. Like a father for a son you bestow; in your bounty strike down our foes and grant us life and strength.

समु॒ प्र य॑न्ति धी॒तयः॒ सर्गा॑सोऽव॒ताँ इ॑व । क्रतुं॑ नः सोम जी॒वसे॒ वि वो॒ मदे॑ धा॒रया॑ चम॒साँ इ॑व॒ विव॑क्षसे
samu pra yanti dhītayaḥ sargāso'vatām̐ iva kratuṃ naḥ soma jīvase vi vo made dhārayā camasām̐ iva vivakṣase
Thoughts proceed together like born ones, like offspring released. Sustain for us the rite, O Soma; bear it as spoons carry the oblation—observe it and protect our sacrifice.

तव॒ त्ये सो॑म॒ शक्ति॑भि॒र्निका॑मासो॒ व्यृ॑ण्विरे । गृत्स॑स्य॒ धीरा॑स्त॒वसो॒ वि वो॒ मदे॑ व्र॒जं गोम॑न्तम॒श्विनं॒ विव॑क्षसे
tava tye soma śaktibhirnikāmāso vyṛṇvire gṛtsasya dhīrāstavaso vi vo made vrajaṃ gomantamaśvinaṃ vivakṣase
In your powers we seek pastures; grant us those desires. Heroes of the cattle, venerate your wisdom; drive forth the ox-driving host to the abundant pastures and the swift Asvins.

प॒शुं नः॑ सोम रक्षसि पुरु॒त्रा विष्ठि॑तं॒ जग॑त् । स॒माकृ॑णोषि जी॒वसे॒ वि वो॒ मदे॒ विश्वा॑ स॒म्पश्य॒न्भुव॑ना॒ विव॑क्षसे
paśuṃ naḥ soma rakṣasi purutrā viṣṭhitaṃ jagat samākṛṇoṣi jīvase vi vo made viśvā sampaśyanbhuvanā vivakṣase
Protect our cattle, Soma; the progeny spread through the world. Take them together, sustain life for us; in your might behold all the worlds and see them prosper.

त्वं नः॑ सोम वि॒श्वतो॑ गो॒पा अदा॑भ्यो भव । सेध॑ राज॒न्नप॒ स्रिधो॒ वि वो॒ मदे॒ मा नो॑ दुः॒शंस॑ ईशता॒ विव॑क्षसे
tvaṃ naḥ soma viśvato gopā adābhyo bhava sedha rājannapa sridho vi vo made mā no duḥśaṃsa īśatā vivakṣase
You, O Soma, are our herdsman everywhere; be gracious to those who give. O sovereign king, pour forth riches upon us; do not despise us in anger — may you, compassionate Lord, look kindly upon us.

त्वं नः॑ सोम सु॒क्रतु॑र्वयो॒धेया॑य जागृहि । क्षे॒त्र॒वित्त॑रो॒ मनु॑षो॒ वि वो॒ मदे॑ द्रु॒हो नः॑ पा॒ह्यंह॑सो॒ विव॑क्षसे
tvaṃ naḥ soma sukraturvayodheyāya jāgṛhi kṣetravittaro manuṣo vi vo made druho naḥ pāhyaṃhaso vivakṣase
You, O Soma, wake for us the bright doer for the twofold fight. Drive away from us the field‑knower, the treacherous man who plots against us, and keep off the slayer of delight.

त्वं नो॑ वृत्रहन्त॒मेन्द्र॑स्येन्दो शि॒वः सखा॑ । यत्सीं॒ हव॑न्ते समि॒थे वि वो॒ मदे॒ युध्य॑मानास्तो॒कसा॑तौ॒ विव॑क्षसे
tvaṃ no vṛtrahantamendrasyendo śivaḥ sakhā yatsīṃ havante samithe vi vo made yudhyamānāstokasātau vivakṣase
You, slayer of Vritra, are the mighty Indra, the auspicious friend; when those who strive in battle pour forth the Soma in the soma-mixing, you, opposing with your thunderbolt, cleave them apart.

अ॒यं घ॒ स तु॒रो मद॒ इन्द्र॑स्य वर्धत प्रि॒यः । अ॒यं क॒क्षीव॑तो म॒हो वि वो॒ मदे॑ म॒तिं विप्र॑स्य वर्धय॒द्विव॑क्षसे
ayaṃ gha sa turo mada indrasya vardhata priyaḥ ayaṃ kakṣīvato maho vi vo made matiṃ viprasya vardhayadvivakṣase
This milky foam grew in Indra’s abundance, beloved; this great one, like the bolt, increased the mind of the wise in delight — you will perceive it.

अ॒यं विप्रा॑य दा॒शुषे॒ वाजा॑ँ इयर्ति॒ गोम॑तः । अ॒यं स॒प्तभ्य॒ आ वरं॒ वि वो॒ मदे॒ प्रान्धं श्रो॒णं च॑ तारिष॒द्विव॑क्षसे
ayaṃ viprāya dāśuṣe vājām̐ iyarti gomataḥ ayaṃ saptabhya ā varaṃ vi vo made prāndhaṃ śroṇaṃ ca tāriṣadvivakṣase
This priest utters the powerful bulls like gifts from cows; this one, having overcome the sevenfold, with vigor you will pierce the breath and the ear in thy wrath.
