त्वं नो॑ वृत्रहन्त॒मेन्द्र॑स्येन्दो शि॒वः सखा॑ । यत्सीं॒ हव॑न्ते समि॒थे वि वो॒ मदे॒ युध्य॑मानास्तो॒कसा॑तौ॒ विव॑क्षसे
tvaṃ no vṛtrahantamendrasyendo śivaḥ sakhā yatsīṃ havante samithe vi vo made yudhyamānāstokasātau vivakṣase
You, slayer of Vritra, are the mighty Indra, the auspicious friend; when those who strive in battle pour forth the Soma in the soma-mixing, you, opposing with your thunderbolt, cleave them apart.
Utter destroyer of enemies, Soma, who are the auspicious friend of Indra, (protect us), when hostilewarriors everywhere call us to the combat that bestows offsprin; by your exhilration (preserve us); for you aremighty.
Chief slayer of our foemen, thou, Indu, art Indra's gracious Friend, When warriors invoke him-at your glad carouse -in fight, to win them offspring. Thou art waxing great.
