जु॒षस्व॑ स॒प्रथ॑स्तमं॒ वचो॑ दे॒वप्स॑रस्तमम् । ह॒व्या जुह्वा॑न आ॒सनि॑
juṣasva saprathastamaṃ vaco devapsarastamam havyā juhvāna āsani
Pour forth the most savory, the foremost utterance, the best word for the gods; offer the ritual oblation, you who perform the havan.

अथा॑ ते अङ्गिरस्त॒माग्ने॑ वेधस्तम प्रि॒यम् । वो॒चेम॒ ब्रह्म॑ सान॒सि
athā te aṅgirastamāgne vedhastama priyam vocema brahma sānasi
Thus, O Angiras and Agni, know the highest vow, beloved; we speak the divine Brahman before you.

कस्ते॑ जा॒मिर्जना॑ना॒मग्ने॒ को दा॒श्व॑ध्वरः । को ह॒ कस्मि॑न्नसि श्रि॒तः
kaste jāmirjanānāmagne ko dāśvadhvaraḥ ko ha kasminnasi śritaḥ
Who is your protector among men, O Agni? Who is the tamer of the sacrificial post? Who, when you lie down, is near you?

त्वं जा॒मिर्जना॑ना॒मग्ने॑ मि॒त्रो अ॑सि प्रि॒यः । सखा॒ सखि॑भ्य॒ ईड्यः॑
tvaṃ jāmirjanānāmagne mitro asi priyaḥ sakhā sakhibhya īḍyaḥ
You are protector of men, O Agni; you are Mitra, dear and friendly; a comrade honored among friends.

यजा॑ नो मि॒त्रावरु॑णा॒ यजा॑ दे॒वाँ ऋ॒तं बृ॒हत् । अग्ने॒ यक्षि॒ स्वं दम॑म्
yajā no mitrāvaruṇā yajā devām̐ ṛtaṃ bṛhat agne yakṣi svaṃ damam
Who sacrifices to Mitra and Varuna for us, who sacrifices to the gods with great lawfulness? Agni, protect your own power.
