Thus, O Angiras and Agni, know the highest vow, beloved; we speak the divine Brahman before you.

And then, most wise Agni, chief of the Aṅgiras, may we address (to you) an acceptable and gratifying prayer.

Now, Agni, will we say to thee, O wisest and best Afigiras, Our precious, much-availing prayer.
