व॒या इद॑ग्ने अ॒ग्नय॑स्ते अ॒न्ये त्वे विश्वे॑ अ॒मृता॑ मादयन्ते । वैश्वा॑नर॒ नाभि॑रसि क्षिती॒नां स्थूणे॑व॒ जना॑ँ उप॒मिद्य॑यन्थ
vayā idagne agnayaste anye tve viśve amṛtā mādayante vaiśvānara nābhirasi kṣitīnāṃ sthūṇeva janām̐ upamidyayantha
Through you, O Agni, others make all things undying and the immortals; the Vasus were the navel, the earths like a support — thus they likened people to a single standing.

मू॒र्धा दि॒वो नाभि॑र॒ग्निः पृ॑थि॒व्या अथा॑भवदर॒ती रोद॑स्योः । तं त्वा॑ दे॒वासो॑ऽजनयन्त दे॒वं वैश्वा॑नर॒ ज्योति॒रिदार्या॑य
mūrdhā divo nābhiragniḥ pṛthivyā athābhavadaratī rodasyoḥ taṃ tvā devāso'janayanta devaṃ vaiśvānara jyotiridāryāya
The head is heaven, the navel is Agni, the earth became the broad expanse, the midregion between them. The gods begot that Deva, Viśvānara, the radiant, the giver of light.

आ सूर्ये॒ न र॒श्मयो॑ ध्रु॒वासो॑ वैश्वान॒रे द॑धिरे॒ऽग्ना वसू॑नि । या पर्व॑ते॒ष्वोष॑धीष्व॒प्सु या मानु॑षे॒ष्वसि॒ तस्य॒ राजा॑
ā sūrye na raśmayo dhruvāso vaiśvānare dadhire'gnā vasūni yā parvateṣvoṣadhīṣvapsu yā mānuṣeṣvasi tasya rājā
O Sun, your rays are not fixed; they rested in Viśvānara the steadfast one. He placed the fires, the treasures — in mountains, in herbs, in waters, in humans; he is their king.

बृ॒ह॒ती इ॑व सू॒नवे॒ रोद॑सी॒ गिरो॒ होता॑ मनु॒ष्यो॒३॒॑ न दक्षः॑ । स्व॑र्वते स॒त्यशु॑ष्माय पू॒र्वीर्वै॑श्वान॒राय॒ नृत॑माय य॒ह्वीः
bṛhatī iva sūnave rodasī giro hotā manuṣyo3 na dakṣaḥ svarvate satyaśuṣmāya pūrvīrvaiśvānarāya nṛtamāya yahvīḥ
Like the great son of Sun, the radiant one spoke; the man who is not unskilled. In heaven he established the truth-bringing, eastern Viśvānara for the ritual chant (yajña).

दि॒वश्चि॑त्ते बृह॒तो जा॑तवेदो॒ वैश्वा॑नर॒ प्र रि॑रिचे महि॒त्वम् । राजा॑ कृष्टी॒नाम॑सि॒ मानु॑षीणां यु॒धा दे॒वेभ्यो॒ वरि॑वश्चकर्थ
divaścitte bṛhato jātavedo vaiśvānara pra ririce mahitvam rājā kṛṣṭīnāmasi mānuṣīṇāṃ yudhā devebhyo varivaścakartha
Born from the great thought of the sky, Jātavedas, Viśvānara spread great might. O king, you are the tiller of fields among men; in battle you aided the gods and made protection.

प्र नू म॑हि॒त्वं वृ॑ष॒भस्य॑ वोचं॒ यं पू॒रवो॑ वृत्र॒हणं॒ सच॑न्ते । वै॒श्वा॒न॒रो दस्यु॑म॒ग्निर्ज॑घ॒न्वाँ अधू॑नो॒त्काष्ठा॒ अव॒ शम्ब॑रं भेत्
pra nū mahitvaṃ vṛṣabhasya vocaṃ yaṃ pūravo vṛtrahaṇaṃ sacante vaiśvānaro dasyumagnirjaghanvām̐ adhūnotkāṣṭhā ava śambaraṃ bhet
Proclaim to us the greatness of the bull (power) that the forefathers praised for slaying Vṛtra. Viśvānara, the robber-slaying Agni, struck him down; from below he cleft timbers and smote the hostile herd.

वै॒श्वा॒न॒रो म॑हि॒म्ना वि॒श्वकृ॑ष्टिर्भ॒रद्वा॑जेषु यज॒तो वि॒भावा॑ । शा॒त॒व॒ने॒ये श॒तिनी॑भिर॒ग्निः पु॑रुणी॒थे ज॑रते सू॒नृता॑वान्
vaiśvānaro mahimnā viśvakṛṣṭirbharadvājeṣu yajato vibhāvā śātavaneye śatinībhiragniḥ puruṇīthe jarate sūnṛtāvān
Viśvānara by his greatness, the all-creator, was invoked among the Bharadvajas when they offered. In the many-stepped hall the Agni, adorned like a hundredfold, aged in the vibrant place, mighty in song.
