mūrdhā divo nābhiragniḥ pṛthivyā athābhavadaratī rodasyoḥ taṃ tvā devāso'janayanta devaṃ vaiśvānara jyotiridāryāya
The head is heaven, the navel is Agni, the earth became the broad expanse, the midregion between them. The gods begot that Deva, Viśvānara, the radiant, the giver of light.
Agni, the head of heaven, the navel of earth, became the ruler over both earth and heaven; all the gods engendered you, Vaiśvānara, in the form of light, for the venerable sage.
The forehead of the sky, earth's centre, Agni became the messenger of earth and heaven. Vaisvanara, the Deities produced thee, a God, to be a light unto the Arya.
