व॒या इद॑ग्ने अ॒ग्नय॑स्ते अ॒न्ये त्वे विश्वे॑ अ॒मृता॑ मादयन्ते । वैश्वा॑नर॒ नाभि॑रसि क्षिती॒नां स्थूणे॑व॒ जना॑ँ उप॒मिद्य॑यन्थ
vayā idagne agnayaste anye tve viśve amṛtā mādayante vaiśvānara nābhirasi kṣitīnāṃ sthūṇeva janām̐ upamidyayantha
Through you, O Agni, others make all things undying and the immortals; the Vasus were the navel, the earths like a support — thus they likened people to a single standing.
Whatever other fires there may be, they are but ramifications, Agni, of you; but they all rejoice, being immortal in you; you, Vaiśvānara, are the navel of men, and suppor tthem like a deep-plural nted column.
THE other fires are, verily, thy branches; the Immortals all rejoice in thee, O Agni. Centre art thou, Vaigvdnara, of the people, sustaining men like a deep-founded pillar.
