ते हि द्यावा॑पृथि॒वी वि॒श्वश॑म्भुव ऋ॒ताव॑री॒ रज॑सो धार॒यत्क॑वी । सु॒जन्म॑नी धि॒षणे॑ अ॒न्तरी॑यते दे॒वो दे॒वी धर्म॑णा॒ सूर्यः॒ शुचिः॑
te hi dyāvāpṛthivī viśvaśambhuva ṛtāvarī rajaso dhārayatkavī sujanmanī dhiṣaṇe antarīyate devo devī dharmaṇā sūryaḥ śuciḥ
For they upheld Heaven and Earth, and all that is immortal and mortal, the orders of Rta and the course of Rajas; the gods and goddesses enclose with wise thought, the bright, pure Sun by law.

उ॒रु॒व्यच॑सा म॒हिनी॑ अस॒श्चता॑ पि॒ता मा॒ता च॒ भुव॑नानि रक्षतः । सु॒धृष्ट॑मे वपु॒ष्ये॒३॒॑ न रोद॑सी पि॒ता यत्सी॑म॒भि रू॒पैरवा॑सयत्
uruvyacasā mahinī asaścatā pitā mātā ca bhuvanāni rakṣataḥ sudhṛṣṭame vapuṣye3 na rodasī pitā yatsīmabhi rūpairavāsayat
Great in breadth, bearing many, father and mother keep the worlds safe. I will make delightful body and mind; the father who did not weep furnished forms for the borders.

स वह्निः॑ पु॒त्रः पि॒त्रोः प॒वित्र॑वान्पु॒नाति॒ धीरो॒ भुव॑नानि मा॒यया॑ । धे॒नुं च॒ पृश्निं॑ वृष॒भं सु॒रेत॑सं वि॒श्वाहा॑ शु॒क्रं पयो॑ अस्य दुक्षत
sa vahniḥ putraḥ pitroḥ pavitravānpunāti dhīro bhuvanāni māyayā dhenuṃ ca pṛśniṃ vṛṣabhaṃ suretasaṃ viśvāhā śukraṃ payo asya dukṣata
Fire, son of the Fathers, the pure one, purifies the worlds by wisdom, not by illusion. He shaped the cow, the black one, the bull of power, the Vasus’ bright one; he mixed this milk — its essence was troubled.

अ॒यं दे॒वाना॑म॒पसा॑म॒पस्त॑मो॒ यो ज॒जान॒ रोद॑सी वि॒श्वश॑म्भुवा । वि यो म॒मे रज॑सी सुक्रतू॒यया॒जरे॑भिः॒ स्कम्भ॑नेभिः॒ समा॑नृचे
ayaṃ devānāmapasāmapastamo yo jajāna rodasī viśvaśambhuvā vi yo mame rajasī sukratūyayājarebhiḥ skambhanebhiḥ samānṛce
This one of the gods, of the waters, the dark of waters, who had awakened the boundaries of the worlds, who fashioned my rajas with rites and supports, he made them equal by pillars and foundations.

ते नो॑ गृणा॒ने म॑हिनी॒ महि॒ श्रवः॑ क्ष॒त्रं द्या॑वापृथिवी धासथो बृ॒हत् । येना॒भि कृ॒ष्टीस्त॒तना॑म वि॒श्वहा॑ प॒नाय्य॒मोजो॑ अ॒स्मे समि॑न्वतम्
te no gṛṇāne mahinī mahi śravaḥ kṣatraṃ dyāvāpṛthivī dhāsatho bṛhat yenābhi kṛṣṭīstatanāma viśvahā panāyyamojo asme saminvatam
Do not deny us, great mothers, great powers, the wide domain of Heaven and Earth; by which the cultivations, those who bear the world, grant vigor to us together.
