This one of the gods, of the waters, the dark of waters, who had awakened the boundaries of the worlds, who fashioned my rajas with rites and supports, he made them equal by pillars and foundations.
He it is, amongst gods (the most divine), amongst (pious) works the most pious, who gave birth to the all-delighting heaven and earth; who measured them both, and, for the sake of holy rites, propped them up with undecaying pillars.
Among the skilful Gods most skilled is he, who made the two world-halves which bring prosperity to all; Who with great wisdom measured both the regions out, and stablished them with pillars that shall ne'er decay.
