अग्निमीळे पुरोहितं यज्ञस्य देवमृत्विजम्। होतारं रत्नधातमम्॥
agnimīḷe purohitaṃ yajñasya devamṛtvijam hotāraṃ ratnadhātamam
I praise Agni, the household priest, who is the god of the sacrifice, the one who chants and invokes, the best bestower of treasure.

Agni, priest, the poet-maker, truthful, famed in many songs and shining; the god went to the gods.

When, Agni, you perform the auspicious rite for the worshippers, Angiras knows that truth is yours.

Ruler of the paths, protector of the immortal light, shining in the heavens, increase in our own realm.

स नः॑ पि॒तेव॑ सू॒नवेऽग्ने॑ सूपाय॒नो भ॑व । सच॑स्वा नः स्व॒स्तये॑
sa naḥ piteva sūnave'gne sūpāyano bhava sacasvā naḥ svastaye
May he be for us like a father, O Agni, a protector for the sons; bring us, bestower, to welfare.
