अधि॒ यद॑स्मिन्वा॒जिनी॑व॒ शुभः॒ स्पर्ध॑न्ते॒ धियः॒ सूर्ये॒ न विशः॑ । अ॒पो वृ॑णा॒नः प॑वते कवी॒यन्व्र॒जं न प॑शु॒वर्ध॑नाय॒ मन्म॑
adhi yadasminvājinīva śubhaḥ spardhante dhiyaḥ sūrye na viśaḥ apo vṛṇānaḥ pavate kavīyanvrajaṃ na paśuvardhanāya manma
When minds compete like swift steeds, the sun is not implacable. Waters, choose speakers for the fold; not for increasing cattle only, O thoughtful one, do you cherish the herd.

द्वि॒ता व्यू॒र्ण्वन्न॒मृत॑स्य॒ धाम॑ स्व॒र्विदे॒ भुव॑नानि प्रथन्त । धियः॑ पिन्वा॒नाः स्वस॑रे॒ न गाव॑ ऋता॒यन्ती॑र॒भि वा॑वश्र॒ इन्दु॑म्
dvitā vyūrṇvannamṛtasya dhāma svarvide bhuvanāni prathanta dhiyaḥ pinvānāḥ svasare na gāva ṛtāyantīrabhi vāvaśra indum
They opened in two the immortal dwelling; the heavens and worlds passed through. The drinkers of thought sing in their own voices; the cows, abiding by order, approach the moon with truth and reverence.

परि॒ यत्क॒विः काव्या॒ भर॑ते॒ शूरो॒ न रथो॒ भुव॑नानि॒ विश्वा॑ । दे॒वेषु॒ यशो॒ मर्ता॑य॒ भूष॒न्दक्षा॑य रा॒यः पु॑रु॒भूषु॒ नव्यः॑
pari yatkaviḥ kāvyā bharate śūro na ratho bhuvanāni viśvā deveṣu yaśo martāya bhūṣandakṣāya rāyaḥ purubhūṣu navyaḥ
Around what the poet fills with poetry the brave one does not tire; the chariot bears all worlds. In the gods is glory, in mortals ornament; sovereigns with gleaming eyes are newly adorned.

श्रि॒ये जा॒तः श्रि॒य आ निरि॑याय॒ श्रियं॒ वयो॑ जरि॒तृभ्यो॑ दधाति । श्रियं॒ वसा॑ना अमृत॒त्वमा॑य॒न्भव॑न्ति स॒त्या स॑मि॒था मि॒तद्रौ॑
śriye jātaḥ śriya ā niriyāya śriyaṃ vayo jaritṛbhyo dadhāti śriyaṃ vasānā amṛtatvamāyanbhavanti satyā samithā mitadrau
Born for prosperity, to bring prosperity, he grants prosperity to the old and bestows wealth; the prosperous are clothed with immortality — they become true, harmonious, with measured gifts.

इष॒मूर्ज॑म॒भ्य१॒॑र्षाश्वं॒ गामु॒रु ज्योतिः॑ कृणुहि॒ मत्सि॑ दे॒वान् । विश्वा॑नि॒ हि सु॒षहा॒ तानि॒ तुभ्यं॒ पव॑मान॒ बाध॑से सोम॒ शत्रू॑न्
iṣamūrjamabhya1rṣāśvaṃ gāmuru jyotiḥ kṛṇuhi matsi devān viśvāni hi suṣahā tāni tubhyaṃ pavamāna bādhase soma śatrūn
Awaken the desired steed with songs, make bright the cows, create light for the gods. All these nourishing ones are pleasing; to you the purifiers offer praise, Soma, breaker of foes.
