The slayer took life, the begetter of grief; the chariot did not displease the costly prize. Go to Indra, life-giver, the fearful seizer, the adornment of all riches, the two hands bearing treasures.

May the mighty, threefold-endeavored, bull-like singers, the youthful-armed ones, whose speech entered the mighty enclosures, come; may Varuṇa, lord of wealth, who abides in the forests and waters, grant the flowing rivers their treasures.

Thus, O king, perform the ritual; by this may all the bolt-breaking, dreadful ones be repelled. Indra spoke the sacred hymn: you, O winds, protect us always with auspiciousness.
