ए॒ष प्र कोशे॒ मधु॑माँ अचिक्रद॒दिन्द्र॑स्य॒ वज्रो॒ वपु॑षो॒ वपु॑ष्टरः । अ॒भीमृ॒तस्य॑ सु॒दुघा॑ घृत॒श्चुतो॑ वा॒श्रा अ॑र्षन्ति॒ पय॑सेव धे॒नवः॑
eṣa pra kośe madhumām̐ acikradadindrasya vajro vapuṣo vapuṣṭaraḥ abhīmṛtasya sudughā ghṛtaścuto vāśrā arṣanti payaseva dhenavaḥ
This treasure in the vessel, the honey-store, Indra’s thunderbolt made; his body grew his vigor. From the milking of the mighty immortal the butter and ghee pressers bring forth; the kine run to the milk like cows to the vessel.

स पू॒र्व्यः प॑वते॒ यं दि॒वस्परि॑ श्ये॒नो म॑था॒यदि॑षि॒तस्ति॒रो रजः॑ । स मध्व॒ आ यु॑वते॒ वेवि॑जान॒ इत्कृ॒शानो॒रस्तु॒र्मन॒साह॑ बि॒भ्युषा॑
sa pūrvyaḥ pavate yaṃ divaspari śyeno mathāyadiṣitastiro rajaḥ sa madhva ā yuvate vevijāna itkṛśānorasturmanasāha bibhyuṣā
He first poured forth that which circles the heavens—he who, like an eagle through the sky, measured the far-off spell of brilliance. He, sweet and youthful, the knower, moved with slender strength and with mind adorned.

ते नः॒ पूर्वा॑स॒ उप॑रास॒ इन्द॑वो म॒हे वाजा॑य धन्वन्तु॒ गोम॑ते । ई॒क्षे॒ण्या॑सो अ॒ह्यो॒३॒॑ न चार॑वो॒ ब्रह्म॑ब्रह्म॒ ये जु॑जु॒षुर्ह॒विर्ह॑विः
te naḥ pūrvāsa uparāsa indavo mahe vājāya dhanvantu gomate īkṣeṇyāso ahyo3 na cāravo brahmabrahma ye jujuṣurhavirhaviḥ
Those former ones sent us up, above, may the Indvas (singers) be mighty for wealth in the cows’ favour. With the eye of longing today the priests, not mere chanters, sought the oblation which the sacrificers desire.

अ॒यं नो॑ वि॒द्वान्व॑नवद्वनुष्य॒त इन्दुः॑ स॒त्राचा॒ मन॑सा पुरुष्टु॒तः । इ॒नस्य॒ यः सद॑ने॒ गर्भ॑माद॒धे गवा॑मुरु॒ब्जम॒भ्यर्ष॑ति व्र॒जम्
ayaṃ no vidvānvanavadvanuṣyata induḥ satrācā manasā puruṣṭutaḥ inasya yaḥ sadane garbhamādadhe gavāmurubjamabhyarṣati vrajam
This wise Indu (moon/soma) has endowed us with speech; the sacrificial mind strengthened by thought. He who put the womb in the seat of the house sent forth the cows, barley and rice to the pasture.

चक्रि॑र्दि॒वः प॑वते॒ कृत्व्यो॒ रसो॑ म॒हाँ अद॑ब्धो॒ वरु॑णो हु॒रुग्य॒ते । असा॑वि मि॒त्रो वृ॒जने॑षु य॒ज्ञियोऽत्यो॒ न यू॒थे वृ॑ष॒युः कनि॑क्रदत्
cakrirdivaḥ pavate kṛtvyo raso mahām̐ adabdho varuṇo hurugyate asāvi mitro vṛjaneṣu yajñiyo'tyo na yūthe vṛṣayuḥ kanikradat
The heaven made the circle and poured the great savour; Varuna the warder formed the flood. As Mitra fashioned the unhurt kine in battle, the votaries of the sacrifice yoked bulls in the herd.
