अ॒या सोमः॑ सुकृ॒त्यया॑ म॒हश्चि॑द॒भ्य॑वर्धत । म॒न्दा॒न उद्वृ॑षायते
ayā somaḥ sukṛtyayā mahaścidabhyavardhata mandāna udvṛṣāyate
This Soma, by good deeds, grew great in consciousness; the dull one is roused.

कृ॒तानीद॑स्य॒ कर्त्वा॒ चेत॑न्ते दस्यु॒तर्ह॑णा । ऋ॒णा च॑ धृ॒ष्णुश्च॑यते
kṛtānīdasya kartvā cetante dasyutarhaṇā ṛṇā ca dhṛṣṇuścayate
Having done his deeds, the hostile enemies are thought defeated; debt and boldness are borne.

आत्सोम॑ इन्द्रि॒यो रसो॒ वज्रः॑ सहस्र॒सा भु॑वत् । उ॒क्थं यद॑स्य॒ जाय॑ते
ātsoma indriyo raso vajraḥ sahasrasā bhuvat ukthaṃ yadasya jāyate
In the Soma‑drink the sense of Indra, the mighty thunderbolt, became a thousandfold; the hymn that is born from it.

स्व॒यं क॒विर्वि॑ध॒र्तरि॒ विप्रा॑य॒ रत्न॑मिच्छति । यदी॑ मर्मृ॒ज्यते॒ धियः॑
svayaṃ kavirvidhartari viprāya ratnamicchati yadī marmṛjyate dhiyaḥ
A poet himself, striking many forms, the seer desires the jewel; if the mind is purified, he seeks insight.

सि॒षा॒सतू॑ रयी॒णां वाजे॒ष्वर्व॑तामिव । भरे॑षु जि॒ग्युषा॑मसि
siṣāsatū rayīṇāṃ vājeṣvarvatāmiva bhareṣu jigyuṣāmasi
You are a young holder of wealth among the meads, like bounty in the powers; you are eager in the rich places.
