taṃ vo dasmamṛtīṣahaṃ vasormandānamandhasaḥ abhi vatsaṃ na svasareṣu dhenava indraṃ gīrbhirnavāmahe
I have the memory of you as a herd of treasures, a wealth-bearing offering, blind to folly. With prayers we invoke Indra among the cows in their sounds.

Not you, O great hills, do the steep ones give way—Indra the valiant. That which you declared in praise, O bounteous ones, the riches do not lessen; the Sun (Vasu) does not thwart you.

You fought, you made the defile of the slain, all born with bands of foam; behold, the sunlike one turns where he recovered the cattle—Gautama slew the foe.

For indeed the wild beast tasted strength at the end of heaven's verge. Nor did Indra utter a false word: he declared the earthly portion, and assigned the oblation.

Naki, around the generous one, the generous one — that which is of tenfold strength in you. May we be known to him and may the strong, mighty one, the possessor of strength, be propitious to the power of the praise.
