प्रो अ॑स्मा॒ उप॑स्तुतिं॒ भर॑ता॒ यज्जुजो॑षति । उ॒क्थैरिन्द्र॑स्य॒ माहि॑नं॒ वयो॑ वर्धन्ति सो॒मिनो॑ भ॒द्रा इन्द्र॑स्य रा॒तयः॑
pro asmā upastutiṃ bharatā yajjujoṣati ukthairindrasya māhinaṃ vayo vardhanti somino bhadrā indrasya rātayaḥ
Bring our praise forward, O brothers, which they prepare. With hymns to Indra the strong ones grow; nights of Indra's bounty increase us like Soma.

अ॒यु॒जो अस॑मो॒ नृभि॒रेकः॑ कृ॒ष्टीर॒यास्यः॑ । पू॒र्वीरति॒ प्र वा॑वृधे॒ विश्वा॑ जा॒तान्योज॑सा भ॒द्रा इन्द्र॑स्य रा॒तयः॑
ayujo asamo nṛbhirekaḥ kṛṣṭīrayāsyaḥ pūrvīrati pra vāvṛdhe viśvā jātānyojasā bhadrā indrasya rātayaḥ
Unyoked, the warrior stands alone among men; the cultivator will rule the realm. The ancients advance, all born increase in vigor — such are Indra's auspicious nights.

अहि॑तेन चि॒दर्व॑ता जी॒रदा॑नुः सिषासति । प्र॒वाच्य॑मिन्द्र॒ तत्तव॑ वी॒र्या॑णि करिष्य॒तो भ॒द्रा इन्द्र॑स्य रा॒तयः॑
ahitena cidarvatā jīradānuḥ siṣāsati pravācyamindra tattava vīryāṇi kariṣyato bhadrā indrasya rātayaḥ
By unfaltering devotion the wise and long-lived sit and are nourished. Indra will be declared; he will perform deeds of prowess — these are Indra's auspicious nights.

आ या॑हि कृ॒णवा॑म त॒ इन्द्र॒ ब्रह्मा॑णि॒ वर्ध॑ना । येभिः॑ शविष्ठ चा॒कनो॑ भ॒द्रमि॒ह श्र॑वस्य॒ते भ॒द्रा इन्द्र॑स्य रा॒तयः॑
ā yāhi kṛṇavāma ta indra brahmāṇi vardhanā yebhiḥ śaviṣṭha cākano bhadramiha śravasyate bhadrā indrasya rātayaḥ
Come, we will perform deeds, O Indra, increasing the might of the divine. Those by whom strength and the finest fee are offered — these are Indra's auspicious nights.

धृ॒ष॒तश्चि॑द्धृ॒षन्मनः॑ कृ॒णोषी॑न्द्र॒ यत्त्वम् । ती॒व्रैः सोमैः॑ सपर्य॒तो नमो॑भिः प्रति॒भूष॑तो भ॒द्रा इन्द्र॑स्य रा॒तयः॑
dhṛṣataściddhṛṣanmanaḥ kṛṇoṣīndra yattvam tīvraiḥ somaiḥ saparyato namobhiḥ pratibhūṣato bhadrā indrasya rātayaḥ
With bold and firm-minded resolve, Lord Indra, you whose will is vigorous: with rapid Somadrinks you are adorned by reverence — these are Indra's auspicious nights.

अव॑ चष्ट॒ ऋची॑षमोऽव॒ताँ इ॑व॒ मानु॑षः । जु॒ष्ट्वी दक्ष॑स्य सो॒मिनः॒ सखा॑यं कृणुते॒ युजं॑ भ॒द्रा इन्द्र॑स्य रा॒तयः॑
ava caṣṭa ṛcīṣamo'vatām̐ iva mānuṣaḥ juṣṭvī dakṣasya sominaḥ sakhāyaṃ kṛṇute yujaṃ bhadrā indrasya rātayaḥ
As a man is formed by the Vedic singer's verse, so let the Soma-friend perform sacrifice for Daksha; unite with Soma — these are Indra's auspicious nights.

विश्वे॑ त इन्द्र वी॒र्यं॑ दे॒वा अनु॒ क्रतुं॑ ददुः । भुवो॒ विश्व॑स्य॒ गोप॑तिः पुरुष्टुत भ॒द्रा इन्द्र॑स्य रा॒तयः॑
viśve ta indra vīryaṃ devā anu kratuṃ daduḥ bhuvo viśvasya gopatiḥ puruṣṭuta bhadrā indrasya rātayaḥ
All the gods followed Indra's might to perform the rite. He is the protector of the world, nourisher of the people — these are Indra's auspicious nights.

गृ॒णे तदि॑न्द्र ते॒ शव॑ उप॒मं दे॒वता॑तये । यद्धंसि॑ वृ॒त्रमोज॑सा शचीपते भ॒द्रा इन्द्र॑स्य रा॒तयः॑
gṛṇe tadindra te śava upamaṃ devatātaye yaddhaṃsi vṛtramojasā śacīpate bhadrā indrasya rātayaḥ
I tell, O Indra, of that slaughter like a god's gift. By what you cut Vritra with strength, O Lord of Shachi — these are Indra's auspicious nights.

सम॑नेव वपुष्य॒तः कृ॒णव॒न्मानु॑षा यु॒गा । वि॒दे तदिन्द्र॒श्चेत॑न॒मध॑ श्रु॒तो भ॒द्रा इन्द्र॑स्य रा॒तयः॑
samaneva vapuṣyataḥ kṛṇavanmānuṣā yugā vide tadindraścetanamadha śruto bhadrā indrasya rātayaḥ
As if paired, men made the generations; Indra perceived that conscious pow'r — these are Indra's auspicious nights.

उज्जा॒तमि॑न्द्र ते॒ शव॒ उत्त्वामुत्तव॒ क्रतु॑म् । भूरि॑गो॒ भूरि॑ वावृधु॒र्मघ॑व॒न्तव॒ शर्म॑णि भ॒द्रा इन्द्र॑स्य रा॒तयः॑
ujjātamindra te śava uttvāmuttava kratum bhūrigo bhūri vāvṛdhurmaghavantava śarmaṇi bhadrā indrasya rātayaḥ
I have praised, O Indra, your like, raised the mighty rite. Grow much, O Mghavans, increase your glory in honors — these are Indra's auspicious nights.

अ॒हं च॒ त्वं च॑ वृत्रह॒न्सं यु॑ज्याव स॒निभ्य॒ आ । अ॒रा॒ती॒वा चि॑दद्रि॒वोऽनु॑ नौ शूर मंसते भ॒द्रा इन्द्र॑स्य रा॒तयः॑
ahaṃ ca tvaṃ ca vṛtrahansaṃ yujyāva sanibhya ā arātīvā cidadrivo'nu nau śūra maṃsate bhadrā indrasya rātayaḥ
I and you, slayer of Vritra, unite, close by the host. Like a swift charging war-band we pursue — brave ones think so; these are Indra's auspicious nights.

स॒त्यमिद्वा उ॒ तं व॒यमिन्द्रं॑ स्तवाम॒ नानृ॑तम् । म॒हाँ असु॑न्वतो व॒धो भूरि॒ ज्योतीं॑षि सुन्व॒तो भ॒द्रा इन्द्र॑स्य रा॒तयः॑
satyamidvā u taṃ vayamindraṃ stavāma nānṛtam mahām̐ asunvato vadho bhūri jyotīṃṣi sunvato bhadrā indrasya rātayaḥ
Whether this is true or that, we praise Indra, not falsehood. Great is the slayer of hostile forces, rich in light, auspicious are Indra’s nights.
