ava caṣṭa ṛcīṣamo'vatām̐ iva mānuṣaḥ juṣṭvī dakṣasya sominaḥ sakhāyaṃ kṛṇute yujaṃ bhadrā indrasya rātayaḥ
As a man is formed by the Vedic singer's verse, so let the Soma-friend perform sacrifice for Daksha; unite with Soma — these are Indra's auspicious nights.
Indra, who is well-deserving of the hymn, looks down (with favour) upon us as a (thirsty) man (looksdown) on wells; and being well-plural ased he makes the energetic Soma-offerer his friend; Indra's gifts are worthyof praise.
The Asvins, fust to hear our prayer, for closest kinship I approach: Let your protecting help be near.
