प्र स॒म्राजं॑ चर्षणी॒नामिन्द्रं॑ स्तोता॒ नव्यं॑ गी॒र्भिः । नरं॑ नृ॒षाहं॒ मंहि॑ष्ठम्
pra samrājaṃ carṣaṇīnāmindraṃ stotā navyaṃ gīrbhiḥ naraṃ nṛṣāhaṃ maṃhiṣṭham
I proclaim Indra, chieftain of the presses, a new hymn with songs; I exalt the manly lord.

यस्मि॑न्नु॒क्थानि॒ रण्य॑न्ति॒ विश्वा॑नि च श्रव॒स्या॑ । अ॒पामवो॒ न स॑मु॒द्रे
yasminnukthāni raṇyanti viśvāni ca śravasyā apāmavo na samudre
In whom are praised all the glories and the famous ones of the heavens; the waters are not the ocean.

taṃ suṣṭutyā vivāse jyeṣṭharājaṃ bhare kṛtnum maho vājinaṃ sanibhyaḥ
Let that elder king, extolled by a fitting hymn, bear the great wealth, the mighty lord born among peers.

यस्यानू॑ना गभी॒रा मदा॑ उ॒रव॒स्तरु॑त्राः । ह॒र्षु॒मन्तः॒ शूर॑सातौ
yasyānūnā gabhīrā madā uravastarutrāḥ harṣumantaḥ śūrasātau
Within whose cave depths the mighty floods rise, the joyous brave pair stand together.

तमिद्धने॑षु हि॒तेष्व॑धिवा॒काय॑ हवन्ते । येषा॒मिन्द्र॒स्ते ज॑यन्ति
tamiddhaneṣu hiteṣvadhivākāya havante yeṣāmindraste jayanti
Those whose words favour the beneficent in these offerings — by them Indra attains victory.

tamiccyautnairāryanti taṃ kṛtebhiścarṣaṇayaḥ eṣa indro varivaskṛt
With such great efforts they honour him, the press-men and singers; this Indra made the rains pour.

Indra, praised among seers, the sacrificer, mighty among the earth-born, honoured by lands and by the Shachi-born.

स स्तोम्यः॒ स हव्यः॑ स॒त्यः सत्वा॑ तुविकू॒र्मिः । एक॑श्चि॒त्सन्न॒भिभू॑तिः
sa stomyaḥ sa havyaḥ satyaḥ satvā tuvikūrmiḥ ekaścitsannabhibhūtiḥ
He is to be praised, he is the offering, he is the truth, his being is vitality; alone he fills the sky with presence.

तम॒र्केभि॒स्तं साम॑भि॒स्तं गा॑य॒त्रैश्च॑र्ष॒णयः॑ । इन्द्रं॑ वर्धन्ति क्षि॒तयः॑
tamarkebhistaṃ sāmabhistaṃ gāyatraiścarṣaṇayaḥ indraṃ vardhanti kṣitayaḥ
By charmed hymns and by songs and Gayatri chants the earths increase Indra; they enliven Indra.

प्र॒णे॒तारं॒ वस्यो॒ अच्छा॒ कर्ता॑रं॒ ज्योतिः॑ स॒मत्सु॑ । सा॒स॒ह्वांसं॑ यु॒धामित्रा॑न्
praṇetāraṃ vasyo acchā kartāraṃ jyotiḥ samatsu sāsahvāṃsaṃ yudhāmitrān
He who gives breath, who is all-pervading, the maker, the radiant one among equals; he, ally in battle, accompanies us.

स नः॒ पप्रिः॑ पारयाति स्व॒स्ति ना॒वा पु॑रुहू॒तः । इन्द्रो॒ विश्वा॒ अति॒ द्विषः॑
sa naḥ papriḥ pārayāti svasti nāvā puruhūtaḥ indro viśvā ati dviṣaḥ
May he grant us welfare and drive away enmity; Indra is the conqueror of all foes.

स त्वं न॑ इन्द्र॒ वाजे॑भिर्दश॒स्या च॑ गातु॒या च॑ । अच्छा॑ च नः सु॒म्नं ने॑षि
sa tvaṃ na indra vājebhirdaśasyā ca gātuyā ca acchā ca naḥ sumnaṃ neṣi
You, O Indra, with your hymns grant strength and wealth and bestow felicity upon us; preserve our prosperity.
