atāriṣma tamasaspāramasya prati stomaṃ devayanto dadhānāḥ purudaṃsā purutamā purājāmartyā havate aśvinā gīḥ
They kindled the hymn in that space, creating praise as sacrifices to the gods. The very mighty, the foremost of men, the people of the city, the Ashvins recited the sacred song of praise.

nyu priyo manuṣaḥ sādi hotā nāsatyā yo yajate vandate ca aśnītaṃ madhvo aśvinā upāka ā vāṃ voce vidatheṣu prayasvān
May the dear mortal, foremost among priests, not be succored by the untruthful one who both sacrifices and praises. May the Ashvins bring to us what was eaten, and speak forth favourable things in the assemblies for the dutiful.

Rigveda · Chapter Mandala 7, Sukta 73 · Verse 7.73.3
ahema yajñaṃ pathāmurāṇā imāṃ suvṛktiṃ vṛṣaṇā juṣethām śruṣṭīveva preṣito vāmabodhi prati stomairjaramāṇo vasiṣṭhaḥ
We have this sacrifice, this well-laid path; let the bounteous bulls grant this beautiful praise. Sent forth like a messenger to the awakening sea, Vasiṣṭha, though grown old, stands by the hymn.

upa tyā vahnī gamato viśaṃ no rakṣohaṇā sambhṛtā vīḷupāṇī samandhāṃsyagmata matsarāṇi mā no mardhiṣṭamā gataṃ śivena
Approaching the fire, bring protection to us; harnessed and girded with strong reins, O wide-handed ones. Do not crush our enmities brought by jealous ones; come to us endowed with auspiciousness.

Rigveda · Chapter Mandala 7, Sukta 73 · Verse 7.73.5
ā paścātānnāsatyā purastādāśvinā yātamadharādudaktāt ā viśvataḥ pāñcajanyena rāyā yūyaṃ pāta svastibhiḥ sadā naḥ
From behind may not the untruthful, nor from before the Ashvins—having mounted from beneath—be sent forth. By the all-pervading Pañcajanya protect our realm; may you keep us ever with blessings.
