श्नथ॑द्वृ॒त्रमु॒त स॑नोति॒ वाज॒मिन्द्रा॒ यो अ॒ग्नी सहु॑री सप॒र्यात् । इ॒र॒ज्यन्ता॑ वस॒व्य॑स्य॒ भूरेः॒ सह॑स्तमा॒ सह॑सा वाज॒यन्ता॑
śnathadvṛtramuta sanoti vājamindrā yo agnī sahurī saparyāt irajyantā vasavyasya bhūreḥ sahastamā sahasā vājayantā
He who loosens the fetters of Vritra, Indra who dries up the flood — when Agni with the swift chariot moves, the Vasus are invoked, increasing might and power.

ता यो॑धिष्टम॒भि गा इ॑न्द्र नू॒नम॒पः स्व॑रु॒षसो॑ अग्न ऊ॒ळ्हाः । दिशः॒ स्व॑रु॒षस॑ इन्द्र चि॒त्रा अ॒पो गा अ॑ग्ने युवसे नि॒युत्वा॑न्
tā yodhiṣṭamabhi gā indra nūnamapaḥ svaruṣaso agna ūḷhāḥ diśaḥ svaruṣasa indra citrā apo gā agne yuvase niyutvān
That warrior whom Indra made victorious, surely the waters obeyed his call like roaring streams; directions obeyed, Indra and the bright waters, sing O Agni, having yoked them.

आ वृ॑त्रहणा वृत्र॒हभिः॒ शुष्मै॒रिन्द्र॑ या॒तं नमो॑भिरग्ने अ॒र्वाक् । यु॒वं राधो॑भि॒रक॑वेभिरि॒न्द्राग्ने॑ अ॒स्मे भ॑वतमुत्त॒मेभिः॑
ā vṛtrahaṇā vṛtrahabhiḥ śuṣmairindra yātaṃ namobhiragne arvāk yuvaṃ rādhobhirakavebhirindrāgne asme bhavatamuttamebhiḥ
O Agni, praised with hymns, conqueror of Vṛtra by small swift deeds, come to us with youthful hosts, poets and charioteers—be thou to us most excellent.

ता हु॑वे॒ ययो॑रि॒दं प॒प्ने विश्वं॑ पु॒रा कृ॒तम् । इ॒न्द्रा॒ग्नी न म॑र्धतः
tā huve yayoridaṃ papne viśvaṃ purā kṛtam indrāgnī na mardhataḥ
Those that were moved by them, by whose strength the world was formerly made—Indra and Agni do not fail (in glory).

उ॒ग्रा वि॑घ॒निना॒ मृध॑ इन्द्रा॒ग्नी ह॑वामहे । ता नो॑ मृळात ई॒दृशे॑
ugrā vighaninā mṛdha indrāgnī havāmahe tā no mṛḷāta īdṛśe
With fierce bestriding might we invoke Indra-Agni; may they not crush us in such a way.

ह॒तो वृ॒त्राण्यार्या॑ ह॒तो दासा॑नि॒ सत्प॑ती । ह॒तो विश्वा॒ अप॒ द्विषः॑
hato vṛtrāṇyāryā hato dāsāni satpatī hato viśvā apa dviṣaḥ
Vritra is slain, the Aryas are slain? Slain are the servants, O Lord of cattle; the foes of all are slain.

इन्द्रा॑ग्नी यु॒वामि॒मे॒३॒॑ऽभि स्तोमा॑ अनूषत । पिब॑तं शम्भुवा सु॒तम्
indrāgnī yuvāmime3'bhi stomā anūṣata pibataṃ śambhuvā sutam
Indra-Agni, you two have been praised with these hymns; drink the sweet Soma, O mighty ones.

या वां॒ सन्ति॑ पुरु॒स्पृहो॑ नि॒युतो॑ दा॒शुषे॑ नरा । इन्द्रा॑ग्नी॒ ताभि॒रा ग॑तम्
yā vāṃ santi puruspṛho niyuto dāśuṣe narā indrāgnī tābhirā gatam
Those who long for men, who are appointed as our ten men, Indra and Agni brought them to us.

ताभि॒रा ग॑च्छतं न॒रोपे॒दं सव॑नं सु॒तम् । इन्द्रा॑ग्नी॒ सोम॑पीतये
tābhirā gacchataṃ naropedaṃ savanaṃ sutam indrāgnī somapītaye
Those came to you, men partook of this libation of Soma; Indra and Agni for drinking of Soma.

तमी॑ळिष्व॒ यो अ॒र्चिषा॒ वना॒ विश्वा॑ परि॒ष्वज॑त् । कृ॒ष्णा कृ॒णोति॑ जि॒ह्वया॑
tamīḷiṣva yo arciṣā vanā viśvā pariṣvajat kṛṣṇā kṛṇoti jihvayā
He who enveloped the forests with light in the Tamiḷīśvās, made the tongue black by flame.

य इ॒द्ध आ॒विवा॑सति सु॒म्नमिन्द्र॑स्य॒ मर्त्यः॑ । द्यु॒म्नाय॑ सु॒तरा॑ अ॒पः
ya iddha āvivāsati sumnamindrasya martyaḥ dyumnāya sutarā apaḥ
He who brought life to Indra’s beloved mortal, the waters are propitious for the shining one.

ता नो॒ वाज॑वती॒रिष॑ आ॒शून्पि॑पृत॒मर्व॑तः । इन्द्र॑म॒ग्निं च॒ वोळ्ह॑वे
tā no vājavatīriṣa āśūnpipṛtamarvataḥ indramagniṃ ca voḷhave
May the swift chariot of Vājas carry us quickly to the desired milking places; I call upon Indra and Agni for you.

उ॒भा वा॑मिन्द्राग्नी आहु॒वध्या॑ उ॒भा राध॑सः स॒ह मा॑द॒यध्यै॑ । उ॒भा दा॒तारा॑वि॒षां र॑यी॒णामु॒भा वाज॑स्य सा॒तये॑ हुवे वाम्
ubhā vāmindrāgnī āhuvadhyā ubhā rādhasaḥ saha mādayadhyai ubhā dātārāviṣāṃ rayīṇāmubhā vājasya sātaye huve vām
Both the left (Indra) and Agni are to be invoked; both are choosers and seat-makers, grant praise together; both givers of riches, lay hold on the wealth of strength, invoke the left.

आ नो॒ गव्ये॑भि॒रश्व्यै॑र्वस॒व्यै॒३॒॑रुप॑ गच्छतम् । सखा॑यौ दे॒वौ स॒ख्याय॑ श॒म्भुवे॑न्द्रा॒ग्नी ता ह॑वामहे
ā no gavyebhiraśvyairvasavyai3rupa gacchatam sakhāyau devau sakhyāya śambhuvendrāgnī tā havāmahe
May they come to us with kine, horses, and riches; the two gods, friends for friendship, Indra and Agni, we invoke them with offerings.

इन्द्रा॑ग्नी शृणु॒तं हवं॒ यज॑मानस्य सुन्व॒तः । वी॒तं ह॒व्यान्या ग॑तं॒ पिब॑तं सो॒म्यं मधु॑
indrāgnī śaṛṇutaṃ havaṃ yajamānasya sunvataḥ vītaṃ havyānyā gataṃ pibataṃ somyaṃ madhu
Hear the invocation, Indra-Agni, the offering of the worshipper’s ritual; take the prescribed oblation, drink the Soma, O sweet one.
