व॒यमु॑ त्वा पथस्पते॒ रथं॒ न वाज॑सातये । धि॒ये पू॑षन्नयुज्महि
vayamu tvā pathaspate rathaṃ na vājasātaye dhiye pūṣannayujmahi
O Path‑lord, we set the chariot with you, not by the price; we yoked the mind to the intellect of Pūṣan.

अ॒भि नो॒ नर्यं॒ वसु॑ वी॒रं प्रय॑तदक्षिणम् । वा॒मं गृ॒हप॑तिं नय
abhi no naryaṃ vasu vīraṃ prayatadakṣiṇam vāmaṃ gṛhapatiṃ naya
Bring us the manly, noble wealth; lead the house‑lord to the left (favourable) side.

अदि॑त्सन्तं चिदाघृणे॒ पूष॒न्दाना॑य चोदय । प॒णेश्चि॒द्वि म्र॑दा॒ मनः॑
aditsantaṃ cidāghṛṇe pūṣandānāya codaya paṇeścidvi mradā manaḥ
Urge on the radiant Aditi and Pūṣan to give gifts; awaken wealth, awaken the generous mind.

वि प॒थो वाज॑सातये चिनु॒हि वि मृधो॑ जहि । साध॑न्तामुग्र नो॒ धियः॑
vi patho vājasātaye cinuhi vi mṛdho jahi sādhantāmugra no dhiyaḥ
Choose the way for the prize; conquer with gentle strength. May our thoughts achieve success.

परि॑ तृन्धि पणी॒नामार॑या॒ हृद॑या कवे । अथे॑म॒स्मभ्यं॑ रन्धय
pari tṛndhi paṇīnāmārayā hṛdayā kave athemasmabhyaṃ randhaya
Surround the sellers with protection, O poet, with heart; now open for us (the way).

vi pūṣannārayā tuda paṇericcha hṛdi priyam athemasmabhyaṃ randhaya
Pūṣan, strike down the midst of foes; place the beloved in our heart; now open for us (the way).

आ रि॑ख किकि॒रा कृ॑णु पणी॒नां हृद॑या कवे । अथे॑म॒स्मभ्यं॑ रन्धय
ā rikha kikirā kṛṇu paṇīnāṃ hṛdayā kave athemasmabhyaṃ randhaya
Do, O herald, the clapping deed for the traders with heart, O seer; now open for us (the way).

यां पू॑षन्ब्रह्म॒चोद॑नी॒मारां॒ बिभ॑र्ष्याघृणे । तया॑ समस्य॒ हृद॑य॒मा रि॑ख किकि॒रा कृ॑णु
yāṃ pūṣanbrahmacodanīmārāṃ bibharṣyāghṛṇe tayā samasya hṛdayamā rikha kikirā kṛṇu
May Pūṣan, who kindles the Brahman-sacrifice, fill my mouth with food; by him make the heart of the speaker swift and active.

या ते॒ अष्ट्रा॒ गू॑प॒शाघृ॑णे पशु॒साध॑नी । तस्या॑स्ते सु॒म्नमी॑महे
yā te aṣṭrā gūpaśāghṛṇe paśusādhanī tasyāste sumnamīmahe
May that Wielder of shafts who gladdens the herd-mouths, the tamer of cattle, be to you our benefactor; we call him excellent.

उ॒त नो॑ गो॒षणिं॒ धिय॑मश्व॒सां वा॑ज॒सामु॒त । नृ॒वत्कृ॑णुहि वी॒तये॑
uta no goṣaṇiṃ dhiyamaśvasāṃ vājasāmuta nṛvatkṛṇuhi vītaye
Grant us the mind of cows and the wisdom of swift horses and strength of vigour; make the leader of men courageous for battle.
