बळि॒त्था दे॑व निष्कृ॒तमादि॑त्या यज॒तं बृ॒हत् । वरु॑ण॒ मित्रार्य॑म॒न्वर्षि॑ष्ठं क्ष॒त्रमा॑शाथे
baḷitthā deva niṣkṛtamādityā yajataṃ bṛhat varuṇa mitrāryamanvarṣiṣṭhaṃ kṣatramāśāthe
The gods offered the great sacrifice first of the Adityas; Varuna and Mitra, Aryaman foremost, granted the wide dominion and the chariot-like rule.

आ यद्योनिं॑ हिर॒ण्ययं॒ वरु॑ण॒ मित्र॒ सद॑थः । ध॒र्तारा॑ चर्षणी॒नां य॒न्तं सु॒म्नं रि॑शादसा
ā yadyoniṃ hiraṇyayaṃ varuṇa mitra sadathaḥ dhartārā carṣaṇīnāṃ yantaṃ sumnaṃ riśādasā
Behold the golden-born one, Varuna-Mitra of the strong race; the Bearers of the chariot-poles upheld the good prosperity of the radiant ones.

विश्वे॒ हि वि॒श्ववे॑दसो॒ वरु॑णो मि॒त्रो अ॑र्य॒मा । व्र॒ता प॒देव॑ सश्चिरे॒ पान्ति॒ मर्त्यं॑ रि॒षः
viśve hi viśvavedaso varuṇo mitro aryamā vratā padeva saścire pānti martyaṃ riṣaḥ
For truly Varuna, Mitra, Aryaman know all the cosmos; their ordinances, abiding long, preserve mortal order and the seers.

ते हि स॒त्या ऋ॑त॒स्पृश॑ ऋ॒तावा॑नो॒ जने॑जने । सु॒नी॒थासः॑ सु॒दान॑वों॒ऽहोश्चि॑दुरु॒चक्र॑यः
te hi satyā ṛtaspṛśa ṛtāvāno janejane sunīthāsaḥ sudānavoṃ'hościdurucakrayaḥ
They indeed touched the truths, the righteous ones, and the law-bringing folk among men; they, the good-night hosts, split the hostile forces and turned away the miscreants.

को नु वां॑ मि॒त्रास्तु॑तो॒ वरु॑णो वा त॒नूना॑म् । तत्सु वा॒मेष॑ते म॒तिरत्रि॑भ्य॒ एष॑ते म॒तिः
ko nu vāṃ mitrāstuto varuṇo vā tanūnām tatsu vāmeṣate matiratribhya eṣate matiḥ
Who then, whether Mitra praises you or Varuna with their forms, will oppose you? Their counsel is honored among the threefold thoughts—this is the mind.
