सं भा॒नुना॑ यतते॒ सूर्य॑स्या॒जुह्वा॑नो घृ॒तपृ॑ष्ठः॒ स्वञ्चाः॑ । तस्मा॒ अमृ॑ध्रा उ॒षसो॒ व्यु॑च्छा॒न्य इन्द्रा॑य सु॒नवा॒मेत्याह॑
saṃ bhānunā yatate sūryasyājuhvāno ghṛtapṛṣṭhaḥ svañcāḥ tasmā amṛdhrā uṣaso vyucchānya indrāya sunavāmetyāha
With the shining Sun striving, the butter-backed chariot-driver and his team rise. Therefore the sweet-voiced morning brought forth Indra, declaring he comes with a new song.

समि॑द्धाग्निर्वनवत्स्ती॒र्णब॑र्हिर्यु॒क्तग्रा॑वा सु॒तसो॑मो जराते । ग्रावा॑णो॒ यस्ये॑षि॒रं वद॒न्त्यय॑दध्व॒र्युर्ह॒विषाव॒ सिन्धु॑म्
samiddhāgnirvanavatstīrṇabarhiryuktagrāvā sutasomo jarāte grāvāṇo yasyeṣiraṃ vadantyayadadhvaryurhaviṣāva sindhum
The sacrificial fire burns; the woodland runs; the cattle-bands and Soma pour. The herdsmen who speak the sacrificial formula invoke the floods of the rivers.

व॒धूरि॒यं पति॑मि॒च्छन्त्ये॑ति॒ य ईं॒ वहा॑ते॒ महि॑षीमिषि॒राम् । आस्य॑ श्रवस्या॒द्रथ॒ आ च॑ घोषात्पु॒रू स॒हस्रा॒ परि॑ वर्तयाते
vadhūriyaṃ patimicchantyeti ya īṃ vahāte mahiṣīmiṣirām āsya śravasyādratha ā ca ghoṣātpurū sahasrā pari vartayāte
They desire to find a husband — he who carries the pair of kine, the many-horned, the great mighty bulls. He entered, famed in hearing, and loudly the host marched around him a thousandfold.

न स राजा॑ व्यथते॒ यस्मि॒न्निन्द्र॑स्ती॒व्रं सोमं॒ पिब॑ति॒ गोस॑खायम् । आ स॑त्व॒नैरज॑ति॒ हन्ति॑ वृ॒त्रं क्षेति॑ क्षि॒तीः सु॒भगो॒ नाम॒ पुष्य॑न्
na sa rājā vyathate yasminnindrastīvraṃ somaṃ pibati gosakhāyam ā satvanairajati hanti vṛtraṃ kṣeti kṣitīḥ subhago nāma puṣyan
No king is troubled when Indra drinks fierce Soma for the friend of kine. He, swift of course, struck and slew Vritra; the earth, named Pushyan, rejoices.

पुष्या॒त्क्षेमे॑ अ॒भि योगे॑ भवात्यु॒भे वृतौ॑ संय॒ती सं ज॑याति । प्रि॒यः सूर्ये॑ प्रि॒यो अ॒ग्ना भ॑वाति॒ य इन्द्रा॑य सु॒तसो॑मो॒ ददा॑शत्
puṣyātkṣeme abhi yoge bhavātyubhe vṛtau saṃyatī saṃ jayāti priyaḥ sūrye priyo agnā bhavāti ya indrāya sutasomo dadāśat
From Pushya comes welfare in union; both realms are bound together and victorious. Dear to the Sun and to Agni becomes he whom Indra gifted with Soma and offspring.
