अ॒भ्य॑व॒स्थाः प्र जा॑यन्ते॒ प्र व॒व्रेर्व॒व्रिश्चि॑केत । उ॒पस्थे॑ मा॒तुर्वि च॑ष्टे
abhyavasthāḥ pra jāyante pra vavrervavriściketa upasthe māturvi caṣṭe
They stand forth and are born again; they speak, they speak and think. Mother stood before, she caused praise.

जु॒हु॒रे वि चि॒तय॒न्तोऽनि॑मिषं नृ॒म्णं पा॑न्ति । आ दृ॒ळ्हां पुरं॑ विविशुः
juhure vi citayanto'nimiṣaṃ nṛmṇaṃ pānti ā dṛḷhāṃ puraṃ viviśuḥ
They proclaimed, thinking, and keep men sleepless; they entered the strong town with firm resolve.

आ श्वै॑त्रे॒यस्य॑ ज॒न्तवो॑ द्यु॒मद्व॑र्धन्त कृ॒ष्टयः॑ । नि॒ष्कग्री॑वो बृ॒हदु॑क्थ ए॒ना मध्वा॒ न वा॑ज॒युः
ā śvaitreyasya jantavo dyumadvardhanta kṛṣṭayaḥ niṣkagrīvo bṛhaduktha enā madhvā na vājayuḥ
From the Ashvatreya came living creatures; Agni waxing in heaven grew the strong ones. Neckless, loud-voiced, broad of song, these are the honeyed, not the vain conqueror.

प्रि॒यं दु॒ग्धं न काम्य॒मजा॑मि जा॒म्योः सचा॑ । घ॒र्मो न वाज॑जठ॒रोऽद॑ब्धः॒ शश्व॑तो॒ दभः॑
priyaṃ dugdhaṃ na kāmyamajāmi jāmyoḥ sacā gharmo na vājajaṭharo'dabdhaḥ śaśvato dabhaḥ
I do not desire the dear milk of the kid or the goat of the two together. Heat did not, O Vāja, scorch the belly; the butter was everlasting.

क्रीळ॑न्नो रश्म॒ आ भु॑वः॒ सं भस्म॑ना वा॒युना॒ वेवि॑दानः । ता अ॑स्य सन्धृ॒षजो॒ न ति॒ग्माः सुसं॑शिता व॒क्ष्यो॑ वक्षणे॒स्थाः
krīḷanno raśma ā bhuvaḥ saṃ bhasmanā vāyunā vevidānaḥ tā asya sandhṛṣajo na tigmāḥ susaṃśitā vakṣyo vakṣaṇesthāḥ
We sported under the ray, made by ashes and wind the paths; his bonds are not harsh—well joined, firmly set in the cavity of speech.
