क्रीळ॑न्नो रश्म॒ आ भु॑वः॒ सं भस्म॑ना वा॒युना॒ वेवि॑दानः । ता अ॑स्य सन्धृ॒षजो॒ न ति॒ग्माः सुसं॑शिता व॒क्ष्यो॑ वक्षणे॒स्थाः
krīḷanno raśma ā bhuvaḥ saṃ bhasmanā vāyunā vevidānaḥ tā asya sandhṛṣajo na tigmāḥ susaṃśitā vakṣyo vakṣaṇesthāḥ
We sported under the ray, made by ashes and wind the paths; his bonds are not harsh—well joined, firmly set in the cavity of speech.
Radiant (Agni), who are made manifest by the wind and are sporting amidst the ashes (of the forest), be present with us; and may the fierce fiery flames, destructive of foes, be genitive le to this your worshipper.
Beam of light, come to us in sportive fashion, finding thyself close to the wind that fans thee. These flames of his are wasting flames, like arrows keen-pointed, sharpened, on his breast.
