म॒ही द्यावा॑पृथि॒वी इ॒ह ज्येष्ठे॑ रु॒चा भ॑वतां शु॒चय॑द्भिर॒र्कैः । यत्सीं॒ वरि॑ष्ठे बृह॒ती वि॑मि॒न्वन्रु॒वद्धो॒क्षा प॑प्रथा॒नेभि॒रेवैः॑
mahī dyāvāpṛthivī iha jyeṣṭhe rucā bhavatāṃ śucayadbhirarkaiḥ yatsīṃ variṣṭhe bṛhatī viminvanruvaddhokṣā paprathānebhirevaiḥ
In this world, heavens and earth grew glorious by the brightest rites of the elders, purified by sacred poems. That which in the foremost and greatest abode was spread, greatly they extended it with the ancient practices.

दे॒वी दे॒वेभि॑र्यज॒ते यज॑त्रै॒रमि॑नती तस्थतुरु॒क्षमा॑णे । ऋ॒ताव॑री अ॒द्रुहा॑ दे॒वपु॑त्रे य॒ज्ञस्य॑ ने॒त्री शु॒चय॑द्भिर॒र्कैः
devī devebhiryajate yajatrairaminatī tasthaturukṣamāṇe ṛtāvarī adruhā devaputre yajñasya netrī śucayadbhirarkaiḥ
The goddess, born from the gods with sacred rites, stood firm when the harsh sacrifice was placed; the streams of order came to the god’s son—pure with songs she became the seer of the sacrifice.

स इत्स्वपा॒ भुव॑नेष्वास॒ य इ॒मे द्यावा॑पृथि॒वी ज॒जान॑ । उ॒र्वी ग॑भी॒रे रज॑सी सु॒मेके॑ अवं॒शे धीरः॒ शच्या॒ समै॑रत्
sa itsvapā bhuvaneṣvāsa ya ime dyāvāpṛthivī jajāna urvī gabhīre rajasī sumeke avaṃśe dhīraḥ śacyā samairat
He who established these realms, who fashioned heavens and earth—urvi, in deep splendour, in single brightness, mighty and wise, came forth in our line as a steadfast ruler.

नू रो॑दसी बृ॒हद्भि॑र्नो॒ वरू॑थैः॒ पत्नी॑वद्भिरि॒षय॑न्ती स॒जोषाः॑ । उ॒रू॒ची विश्वे॑ यज॒ते नि पा॑तं धि॒या स्या॑म र॒थ्यः॑ सदा॒साः
nū rodasī bṛhadbhirno varūthaiḥ patnīvadbhiriṣayantī sajoṣāḥ urūcī viśve yajate ni pātaṃ dhiyā syāma rathyaḥ sadāsāḥ
You brighten like a great stream with spreading waves, like a wife and companions rejoicing. May all thoughts be offered; may our charioteers always be wise and mindful.

प्र वां॒ महि॒ द्यवी॑ अ॒भ्युप॑स्तुतिं भरामहे । शुची॒ उप॒ प्रश॑स्तये
pra vāṃ mahi dyavī abhyupastutiṃ bharāmahe śucī upa praśastaye
We sing your praise over the broad heavens; we bear pure acclaim and laud you with spotless devotion.

पु॒ना॒ने त॒न्वा॑ मि॒थः स्वेन॒ दक्षे॑ण राजथः । ऊ॒ह्याथे॑ स॒नादृ॒तम्
punāne tanvā mithaḥ svena dakṣeṇa rājathaḥ ūhyāthe sanādṛtam
We, who are joined together, strengthened by our skillful lord, have invoked the well-ordered song that was firmly established.

म॒ही मि॒त्रस्य॑ साधथ॒स्तर॑न्ती॒ पिप्र॑ती ऋ॒तम् । परि॑ य॒ज्ञं नि षे॑दथुः
mahī mitrasya sādhathastarantī pipratī ṛtam pari yajñaṃ ni ṣedathuḥ
Earth, perform the rites for Mitra that keep truth alive; surround the sacrifice and settle within it.
