यु॒ध्मस्य॑ ते वृष॒भस्य॑ स्व॒राज॑ उ॒ग्रस्य॒ यूनः॒ स्थवि॑रस्य॒ घृष्वेः॑ । अजू॑र्यतो व॒ज्रिणो॑ वी॒र्या॒३॒॑णीन्द्र॑ श्रु॒तस्य॑ मह॒तो म॒हानि॑
yudhmasya te vṛṣabhasya svarāja ugrasya yūnaḥ sthavirasya ghṛṣveḥ ajūryato vajriṇo vīryā3ṇīndra śrutasya mahato mahāni
From the battle of thy bull, thy own sovereign, O mighty one, the vigor of the sturdy, from the fat of the steer—when the thunderer drew it—Indra’s great fame and mighty deeds were famed.

म॒हाँ अ॑सि महिष॒ वृष्ण्ये॑भिर्धन॒स्पृदु॑ग्र॒ सह॑मानो अ॒न्यान् । एको॒ विश्व॑स्य॒ भुव॑नस्य॒ राजा॒ स यो॒धया॑ च क्ष॒यया॑ च॒ जना॑न्
mahām̐ asi mahiṣa vṛṣṇyebhirdhanaspṛdugra sahamāno anyān eko viśvasya bhuvanasya rājā sa yodhayā ca kṣayayā ca janān
Great are you, O bull, among the herdsmen; winner of wealth with tusks, you surpass others. You alone are king of the universe and world, the conqueror in battle and decay among men.

प्र मात्रा॑भी रिरिचे॒ रोच॑मानः॒ प्र दे॒वेभि॑र्वि॒श्वतो॒ अप्र॑तीतः । प्र म॒ज्मना॑ दि॒व इन्द्रः॑ पृथि॒व्याः प्रोरोर्म॒हो अ॒न्तरि॑क्षादृजी॒षी
pra mātrābhī ririce rocamānaḥ pra devebhirviśvato apratītaḥ pra majmanā diva indraḥ pṛthivyāḥ prorormaho antarikṣādṛjīṣī
Indra, shiningly famed among the measures and hymns, widely present to the gods, incumbent without rival; by the great mass of strength Indra rushed forth from earth and sought the broad mid-air.

उ॒रुं ग॑भी॒रं ज॒नुषा॒भ्यु१॒॑ग्रं वि॒श्वव्य॑चसमव॒तं म॑ती॒नाम् । इन्द्रं॒ सोमा॑सः प्र॒दिवि॑ सु॒तासः॑ समु॒द्रं न स्र॒वत॒ आ वि॑शन्ति
uruṃ gabhīraṃ januṣābhyu1graṃ viśvavyacasamavataṃ matīnām indraṃ somāsaḥ pradivi sutāsaḥ samudraṃ na sravata ā viśanti
Deep-chested, mighty-kneed, with knees set firm, surveying all directions with wise thought: Soma’s sons produced Indra; they do not enter the sea that flows not.

यं सोम॑मिन्द्र पृथि॒वीद्यावा॒ गर्भं॒ न मा॒ता बि॑भृ॒तस्त्वा॒या । तं ते॑ हिन्वन्ति॒ तमु॑ ते मृजन्त्यध्व॒र्यवो॑ वृषभ॒ पात॒वा उ॑
yaṃ somamindra pṛthivīdyāvā garbhaṃ na mātā bibhṛtastvāyā taṃ te hinvanti tamu te mṛjantyadhvaryavo vṛṣabha pātavā u
That Soma which Indra did not take—the earth, the skies, the womb of the year—was not held by the mother for you. They strike him down; the bulls, the thunderous, they cleanse him, O mighty ones.
