अपे॑हि मनसस्प॒तेऽप॑ क्राम प॒रश्च॑र । प॒रो निरृ॑त्या॒ आ च॑क्ष्व बहु॒धा जीव॑तो॒ मनः॑
apehi manasaspate'pa krāma paraścara paro nirṛtyā ā cakṣva bahudhā jīvato manaḥ
O Mind, approach, O lord of the mind, go forth and return around. The mind of the living takes many forms; perceive it apart from harm.

भ॒द्रं वै वरं॑ वृणते भ॒द्रं यु॑ञ्जन्ति॒ दक्षि॑णम् । भ॒द्रं वै॑वस्व॒ते चक्षु॑र्बहु॒त्रा जीव॑तो॒ मनः॑
bhadraṃ vai varaṃ vṛṇate bhadraṃ yuñjanti dakṣiṇam bhadraṃ vaivasvate cakṣurbahutrā jīvato manaḥ
He chooses the good and the excellent, he offers the good to the south. The mind of the living, like Vivasvat’s eye, dwells in many places.

यदा॒शसा॑ निः॒शसा॑भि॒शसो॑पारि॒म जाग्र॑तो॒ यत्स्व॒पन्तः॑ । अ॒ग्निर्विश्वा॒न्यप॑ दुष्कृ॒तान्यजु॑ष्टान्या॒रे अ॒स्मद्द॑धातु
yadāśasā niḥśasābhiśasopārima jāgrato yatsvapantaḥ agnirviśvānyapa duṣkṛtānyajuṣṭānyāre asmaddadhātu
When breath and life go forth and awake from opposite sides while sleeping, may Agni place all harmful, impure, harmful deeds away from us.

यदि॑न्द्र ब्रह्मणस्पतेऽभिद्रो॒हं चरा॑मसि । प्रचे॑ता न आङ्गिर॒सो द्वि॑ष॒तां पा॒त्वंह॑सः
yadindra brahmaṇaspate'bhidrohaṃ carāmasi pracetā na āṅgiraso dviṣatāṃ pātvaṃhasaḥ
If you, lord of sacred power, act in hostility to Brahman, the wise Angiras will not let the hostile ones prevail; protect with laughter.

अजै॑ष्मा॒द्यास॑नाम॒ चाभू॒माना॑गसो व॒यम् । जा॒ग्र॒त्स्व॒प्नः सं॑क॒ल्पः पा॒पो यं द्वि॒ष्मस्तं स ऋ॑च्छतु॒ यो नो॒ द्वेष्टि॒ तमृ॑च्छतु
ajaiṣmādyāsanāma cābhūmānāgaso vayam jāgratsvapnaḥ saṃkalpaḥ pāpo yaṃ dviṣmastaṃ sa ṛcchatu yo no dveṣṭi tamṛcchatu
We have come forth like goats and those who were born have come near. Awake and dreaming, resolve and sin—let him who hates that sin obtain it and he who loves it seize it not.
