सोम॒ एके॑भ्यः पवते घृ॒तमेक॒ उपा॑सते । येभ्यो॒ मधु॑ प्र॒धाव॑ति॒ ताँश्चि॑दे॒वापि॑ गच्छतात्
soma ekebhyaḥ pavate ghṛtameka upāsate yebhyo madhu pradhāvati tām̐ścidevāpi gacchatāt
Soma, one among the many, purified with ghee, is adored; from whom the nectars run — those even the gods go to.

तप॑सा॒ ये अ॑नाधृ॒ष्यास्तप॑सा॒ ये स्व॑र्य॒युः । तपो॒ ये च॑क्रि॒रे मह॒स्ताँश्चि॑दे॒वापि॑ गच्छतात्
tapasā ye anādhṛṣyāstapasā ye svaryayuḥ tapo ye cakrire mahastām̐ścidevāpi gacchatāt
By penance those who were not restrained, by penance who gained the heavens; by tapas the great made them — even the gods go to them.

ये युध्य॑न्ते प्र॒धने॑षु॒ शूरा॑सो॒ ये त॑नू॒त्यजः॑ । ये वा॑ स॒हस्र॑दक्षिणा॒स्ताँश्चि॑दे॒वापि॑ गच्छतात्
ye yudhyante pradhaneṣu śūrāso ye tanūtyajaḥ ye vā sahasradakṣiṇāstām̐ścidevāpi gacchatāt
Those who fought in foremost places, valiant in battles, who abandoned the body — those with a thousand offerings, even the gods go to them.

ये चि॒त्पूर्व॑ ऋत॒साप॑ ऋ॒तावा॑न ऋता॒वृधः॑ । पि॒तॄन्तप॑स्वतो यम॒ ताँश्चि॑दे॒वापि॑ गच्छतात्
ye citpūrva ṛtasāpa ṛtāvāna ṛtāvṛdhaḥ pitṝntapasvato yama tām̐ścidevāpi gacchatāt
Those who upheld the ordained rites of old, the ritual-holders, the established — the fathers by tapas and Yama: even the gods go to them.

स॒हस्र॑णीथाः क॒वयो॒ ये गो॑पा॒यन्ति॒ सूर्य॑म् । ऋषी॒न्तप॑स्वतो यम तपो॒जाँ अपि॑ गच्छतात्
sahasraṇīthāḥ kavayo ye gopāyanti sūryam ṛṣīntapasvato yama tapojām̐ api gacchatāt
The poets who numbering thousands tend the sun; the seers by tapas, born of Yama’s tapas, go thither as well.
