त्वं सो॑म॒ प्र चि॑कितो मनी॒षा त्वं रजि॑ष्ठ॒मनु॑ नेषि॒ पन्था॑म् । तव॒ प्रणी॑ती पि॒तरो॑ न इन्दो दे॒वेषु॒ रत्न॑मभजन्त॒ धीराः॑
tvaṃ soma pra cikito manīṣā tvaṃ rajiṣṭhamanu neṣi panthām tava praṇītī pitaro na indo deveṣu ratnamabhajanta dhīrāḥ
You, Soma, are the healer and the wise; you traverse the foremost path. By your inspiration the Fathers sought out the treasure of the gods — the resolute ones obtained it.

त्वं सो॑म॒ क्रतु॑भिः सु॒क्रतु॑र्भू॒स्त्वं दक्षैः॑ सु॒दक्षो॑ वि॒श्ववे॑दाः । त्वं वृषा॑ वृष॒त्वेभि॑र्महि॒त्वा द्यु॒म्नेभि॑र्द्यु॒म्न्य॑भवो नृ॒चक्षाः॑
tvaṃ soma kratubhiḥ sukraturbhūstvaṃ dakṣaiḥ sudakṣo viśvavedāḥ tvaṃ vṛṣā vṛṣatvebhirmahitvā dyumnebhirdyumnyabhavo nṛcakṣāḥ
You, Soma, are of mighty deeds, well‑wrought by thought, skilled among the skilled and knower of all. You, like bulls, by virile strength made powerful; by luminous forces you became the bright‑eyed among men.

राज्ञो॒ नु ते॒ वरु॑णस्य व्र॒तानि॑ बृ॒हद्ग॑भी॒रं तव॑ सोम॒ धाम॑ । शुचि॒ष्ट्वम॑सि प्रि॒यो न मि॒त्रो द॒क्षाय्यो॑ अर्य॒मेवा॑सि सोम
rājño nu te varuṇasya vratāni bṛhadgabhīraṃ tava soma dhāma śuciṣṭvamasi priyo na mitro dakṣāyyo aryamevāsi soma
O king, your mighty statutes are the realm of Varuṇa; Soma, your mansion is large and profound. You are pure, beloved, not hostile; you abide in the noble sacrifice and in skillful devotion, Soma.

या ते॒ धामा॑नि दि॒वि या पृ॑थि॒व्यां या पर्व॑ते॒ष्वोष॑धीष्व॒प्सु । तेभि॑र्नो॒ विश्वैः॑ सु॒मना॒ अहे॑ळ॒न्राज॑न्सोम॒ प्रति॑ ह॒व्या गृ॑भाय
yā te dhāmāni divi yā pṛthivyāṃ yā parvateṣvoṣadhīṣvapsu tebhirno viśvaiḥ sumanā aheḷanrājansoma prati havyā gṛbhāya
Whatever dwellings of yours are in the sky, on earth, on mountains, in herbs and waters — through all these, with a mind wholly pleased, bring for us the oblation, O royal Soma, to be offered.

त्वं सो॑मासि॒ सत्प॑ति॒स्त्वं राजो॒त वृ॑त्र॒हा । त्वं भ॒द्रो अ॑सि॒ क्रतुः॑
tvaṃ somāsi satpatistvaṃ rājota vṛtrahā tvaṃ bhadro asi kratuḥ
You are Soma, the true lord; you are the king who slays Vritra. You are the auspicious power, O Kṛatu.

tvaṃ ca soma no vaśo jīvātuṃ na marāmahe priyastotro vanaspatiḥ
May you, Soma, grant us mastery and life so that we do not perish. O Prīyastotra, lord of the forest.

tvaṃ soma mahe bhagaṃ tvaṃ yūna ṛtāyate dakṣaṃ dadhāsi jīvase
You, Soma, art our great blessed one; you are settled in Ṛta. You skillfully give and sustain life.

त्वं नः॑ सोम वि॒श्वतो॒ रक्षा॑ राजन्नघाय॒तः । न रि॑ष्ये॒त्त्वाव॑तः॒ सखा॑
tvaṃ naḥ soma viśvato rakṣā rājannaghāyataḥ na riṣyettvāvataḥ sakhā
O Soma, be our protection from all sides, ruler unconquered. From enemies on every side do not let us be torn, O friend.

soma yāste mayobhuva ūtayaḥ santi dāśuṣe tābhirno'vitā bhava
Soma, those rivers of yours that dwell in the meads are like flowing streams; may they become our invincible strength.

imaṃ yajñamidaṃ vaco jujuṣāṇa upāgahi soma tvaṃ no vṛdhe bhava
Bring this sacrifice, this speech, approach with assent. Soma, be of vigor for us.

soma gīrbhiṣṭvā vayaṃ vardhayāmo vacovidaḥ sumṛḷīko na ā viśa
Soma, having been propitious in words, we grow as knowers of speech. Do not come lacking in sweet‑spokenness.

Like Gāyasphānus you increase riches and strength. O friend, Soma, be for us a benefactor.

सोम॑ रार॒न्धि नो॑ हृ॒दि गावो॒ न यव॑से॒ष्वा । मर्य॑ इव॒ स्व ओ॒क्ये॑
soma rārandhi no hṛdi gāvo na yavaseṣvā marya iva sva okye
Soma, press down for us the bulls in our hearts, let them not be exhausted among the grains; let him be like a mortal who is enlivened by his share.

यः सो॑म स॒ख्ये तव॑ रा॒रण॑द्देव॒ मर्त्यः॑ । तं दक्षः॑ सचते क॒विः
yaḥ soma sakhye tava rāraṇaddeva martyaḥ taṃ dakṣaḥ sacate kaviḥ
Whoever of your companions is slain by the god among mortals — the wise Dakṣa celebrates him.

uruṣyā ṇo abhiśasteḥ soma ni pāhyaṃhasaḥ sakhā suśeva edhi naḥ
O Soma, protect us like a strong, broad refuge; be our friend, serve us well.

Bring your streams together for us from every side, O Soma, abundant in strength; be the companion of our might.

ā pyāyasva madintama soma viśvebhiraṃśubhiḥ bhavā naḥ suśravastamaḥ sakhā vṛdhe
Bring your intoxicating succor, O Soma, with all auspicious influences; be our famed, growing friend and bring prosperity.

सं ते॒ पयां॑सि॒ समु॑ यन्तु॒ वाजाः॒ सं वृष्ण्या॑न्यभिमाति॒षाहः॑ । आ॒प्याय॑मानो अ॒मृता॑य सोम दि॒वि श्रवां॑स्युत्त॒मानि॑ धिष्व
saṃ te payāṃsi samu yantu vājāḥ saṃ vṛṣṇyānyabhimātiṣāhaḥ āpyāyamāno amṛtāya soma divi śravāṃsyuttamāni dhiṣva
May the streams go together to you; the Vedic hymns come to you with zeal. Soma, poured forth for immortality, bestow in heaven the highest fame and splendid thought.

या ते॒ धामा॑नि ह॒विषा॒ यज॑न्ति॒ ता ते॒ विश्वा॑ परि॒भूर॑स्तु य॒ज्ञम् । ग॒य॒स्फानः॑ प्र॒तर॑णः सु॒वीरोऽवी॑रहा॒ प्र च॑रा सोम॒ दुर्या॑न्
yā te dhāmāni haviṣā yajanti tā te viśvā paribhūrastu yajñam gayasphānaḥ prataraṇaḥ suvīro'vīrahā pra carā soma duryān
May all the abodes where offerings are made surround your sacrifice; the singer at dawn, heroic, unconquered, lead forth Soma strong and hard to approach.

सोमो॑ धे॒नुं सोमो॒ अर्व॑न्तमा॒शुं सोमो॑ वी॒रं क॑र्म॒ण्यं॑ ददाति । सा॒द॒न्यं॑ विद॒थ्यं॑ स॒भेयं॑ पितृ॒श्रव॑णं॒ यो ददा॑शदस्मै
somo dhenuṃ somo arvantamāśuṃ somo vīraṃ karmaṇyaṃ dadāti sādanyaṃ vidathyaṃ sabheyaṃ pitṛśravaṇaṃ yo dadāśadasmai
Soma gives the kine, Soma gives the flowing wealth, Soma gives heroic deeds of action. He gave victory, fame among assemblies, and earsthearing to the sire who granted this.

अषा॑ळ्हं यु॒त्सु पृत॑नासु॒ पप्रिं॑ स्व॒र्षाम॒प्सां वृ॒जन॑स्य गो॒पाम् । भ॒रे॒षु॒जां सु॑क्षि॒तिं सु॒श्रव॑सं॒ जय॑न्तं॒ त्वामनु॑ मदेम सोम
aṣāḷhaṃ yutsu pṛtanāsu papriṃ svarṣāmapsāṃ vṛjanasya gopām bhareṣujāṃ sukṣitiṃ suśravasaṃ jayantaṃ tvāmanu madema soma
O Soma, striving among the enemies, you sought the cattle, the herdsman's guardian. In burdens and in contests, victorious in fame, we follow you.

त्वमि॒मा ओष॑धीः सोम॒ विश्वा॒स्त्वम॒पो अ॑जनय॒स्त्वं गाः । त्वमा त॑तन्थो॒र्व१॒॑न्तरि॑क्षं॒ त्वं ज्योति॑षा॒ वि तमो॑ ववर्थ
tvamimā oṣadhīḥ soma viśvāstvamapo ajanayastvaṃ gāḥ tvamā tatanthorva1ntarikṣaṃ tvaṃ jyotiṣā vi tamo vavartha
You are these herbs, O Soma, you are all the waters, you are the cows. You are the subtle ether of the space; you are the lights that dispel the darkness.

दे॒वेन॑ नो॒ मन॑सा देव सोम रा॒यो भा॒गं स॑हसावन्न॒भि यु॑ध्य । मा त्वा त॑न॒दीशि॑षे वी॒र्य॑स्यो॒भये॑भ्यः॒ प्र चि॑कित्सा॒ गवि॑ष्टौ
devena no manasā deva soma rāyo bhāgaṃ sahasāvannabhi yudhya mā tvā tanadīśiṣe vīryasyobhayebhyaḥ pra cikitsā gaviṣṭau
May the godly mind fight with Soma for our portion of strength and wealth; do not be withheld — grant vigor to both sides and bring healing like a wondrous remedy.
