कद्रु॒द्राय॒ प्रचे॑तसे मी॒ळ्हुष्ट॑माय॒ तव्य॑से । वो॒चेम॒ शंत॑मं हृ॒दे
kadrudrāya pracetase mīḷhuṣṭamāya tavyase vocema śaṃtamaṃ hṛde
To Kadrū and Rudra, with gathered zeal I addressed you; I speak peace into the heart.

यथा॑ नो॒ अदि॑तिः॒ कर॒त्पश्वे॒ नृभ्यो॒ यथा॒ गवे॑ । यथा॑ तो॒काय॑ रु॒द्रिय॑म्
yathā no aditiḥ karatpaśve nṛbhyo yathā gave yathā tokāya rudriyam
As Aditi acts for us to the cattle, to men as to the cows; as the stream to the Rudra-like one.

यथा॑ नो मि॒त्रो वरु॑णो॒ यथा॑ रु॒द्रश्चिके॑तति । यथा॒ विश्वे॑ स॒जोष॑सः
yathā no mitro varuṇo yathā rudraściketati yathā viśve sajoṣasaḥ
As Mitra and Varuṇa are to us, as Rudra makes his mark, as all auspicious companions are.

गा॒थप॑तिं मे॒धप॑तिं रु॒द्रं जला॑षभेषजम् । तच्छं॒योः सु॒म्नमी॑महे
gāthapatiṃ medhapatiṃ rudraṃ jalāṣabheṣajam tacchaṃyoḥ sumnamīmahe
O Gathapati, lord of thought, Rudra, remedy for waters and kine—may we offer this Soma and invoke its grace.

यः शु॒क्र इ॑व॒ सूर्यो॒ हिर॑ण्यमिव॒ रोच॑ते । श्रेष्ठो॑ दे॒वानां॒ वसुः॑
yaḥ śukra iva sūryo hiraṇyamiva rocate śreṣṭho devānāṃ vasuḥ
He shines like the radiant auspicious one, like gold the sun glows—best of the gods, O treasure.

śaṃ naḥ karatyarvate sugaṃ meṣāya meṣye nṛbhyo nāribhyo gave
Grant us blessing, O sacrificer Arvate, favorable to my flock and my sheep; to men, to women, to the cows.

अ॒स्मे सो॑म॒ श्रिय॒मधि॒ नि धे॑हि श॒तस्य॑ नृ॒णाम् । महि॒ श्रव॑स्तुविनृ॒म्णम्
asme soma śriyamadhi ni dhehi śatasya nṛṇām mahi śravastuvinṛmṇam
Grant me, O Soma, wealth, prosperity, for the hundred peoples; make me great, famous, triumphant among men.

मा नः॑ सोमपरि॒बाधो॒ मारा॑तयो जुहुरन्त । आ न॑ इन्दो॒ वाजे॑ भज
mā naḥ somaparibādho mārātayo juhuranta ā na indo vāje bhaja
Do not let Soma be hindered for us; the foes performed deadly rites. Come near, O Indra, partake in the sacred prize.

यास्ते॑ प्र॒जा अ॒मृत॑स्य॒ पर॑स्मि॒न्धाम॑न्नृ॒तस्य॑ । मू॒र्धा नाभा॑ सोम वेन आ॒भूष॑न्तीः सोम वेदः
yāste prajā amṛtasya parasmindhāmannṛtasya mūrdhā nābhā soma vena ābhūṣantīḥ soma vedaḥ
Those who belonged to you—offspring of immortal nectar—belong to the other’s falsehood; the soma adorned the head and navel; Soma knows them.
