मत्सि॑ नो॒ वस्य॑इष्टय॒ इन्द्र॑मिन्दो॒ वृषा वि॑श । ऋ॒घा॒यमा॑ण इन्वसि॒ शत्रु॒मन्ति॒ न वि॑न्दसि
matsi no vasyaiṣṭaya indramindo vṛṣā viśa ṛghāyamāṇa invasi śatrumanti na vindasi
Choose for us, O Indra, the desired possession, O mighty bull. Bearing the hymns you pursued the foes, yet you did not find them.

तस्मि॒न्ना वे॑शया॒ गिरो॒ य एक॑श्चर्षणी॒नाम् । अनु॑ स्व॒धा यमु॒प्यते॒ यवं॒ न चर्कृ॑ष॒द्वृषा॑
tasminnā veśayā giro ya ekaścarṣaṇīnām anu svadhā yamupyate yavaṃ na carkṛṣadvṛṣā
In that dwelling is speech, and one who stirs the plough. Near the ancestral offering the grain is not cut away, the bull does not thresh it down.

यस्य॒ विश्वा॑नि॒ हस्त॑योः॒ पञ्च॑ क्षिती॒नां वसु॑ । स्पा॒शय॑स्व॒ यो अ॑स्म॒ध्रुग्दि॒व्येवा॒शनि॑र्जहि
yasya viśvāni hastayoḥ pañca kṣitīnāṃ vasu spāśayasva yo asmadhrugdivyevāśanirjahi
By whose both hands all five treasures of the earthly regions are held: reveal him who is among us like the sky, drive him out who harms us.

असु॑न्वन्तं समं जहि दू॒णाशं॒ यो न ते॒ मयः॑ । अ॒स्मभ्य॑मस्य॒ वेद॑नं द॒द्धि सू॒रिश्चि॑दोहते
asunvantaṃ samaṃ jahi dūṇāśaṃ yo na te mayaḥ asmabhyamasya vedanaṃ daddhi sūriścidohate
Cast away equally the hostile force, O vanquisher, that is not of us. Grant us the knowledge of that feeling; the mighty one who rises up be our helper.

आवो॒ यस्य॑ द्वि॒बर्ह॑सो॒ऽर्केषु॑ सानु॒षगस॑त् । आ॒जाविन्द्र॑स्येन्दो॒ प्रावो॒ वाजे॑षु वा॒जिन॑म्
āvo yasya dvibarhaso'rkeṣu sānuṣagasat ājāvindrasyendo prāvo vājeṣu vājinam
From whom the double‑sacrificing dawns sprang forth with the rays of the sun; born of Indra's strength, with the oblations in riches, the bestower of wealth.

यथा॒ पूर्वे॑भ्यो जरि॒तृभ्य॑ इन्द्र॒ मय॑ इ॒वापो॒ न तृष्य॑ते ब॒भूथ॑ । तामनु॑ त्वा नि॒विदं॑ जोहवीमि वि॒द्यामे॒षं वृ॒जनं॑ जी॒रदा॑नुम्
yathā pūrvebhyo jaritṛbhya indra maya ivāpo na tṛṣyate babhūtha tāmanu tvā nividaṃ johavīmi vidyāmeṣaṃ vṛjanaṃ jīradānum
As in former times for the ancient sacrificers, O Indra, so may the waters not thirst for me. Therefore I pour you the libation; I seek this bounty, the moving herd, with life‑giving thought.
