We know of the carpenter of chariots, famed and skilful, the chariot-lifter, driver of Indra, strong and wealthy. He became a maker for the fathers; the two youthful makers fashioned the chariot—mother together with companion became manifest.

ā no yajñāya takṣata ṛbhumadvayaḥ kratve dakṣāya suprajāvatīmiṣam yathā kṣayāma sarvavīrayā viśā tannaḥ śardhāya dhāsathā svindriyam
For our sacrifice the two skilful makers worked, fit for the strong-oblation—agile, prosperous, fruitful. As when all warriors decline, may that vigorous devotion run towards us and work upon our senses.

They fashioned a seat of peace for us, the Rbhus wrought peace for the chariot, peace the man invoked. May that peace come to us victorious, widespread, bearing life and progeny among the assembled ones in every instant.

Indra praised the maker of moments; the Maruts offered songs and libations for Soma-drinking. Both Mitra and Varuna, and surely the Ashvins, may they strike down for our peace, and inspire the intellect to triumph.

May the Rbhus nourish abundance and grant peace; may the chariot, O Vaja (Vajra?), bring us prosperity. May Mitra and Varuna, the great ones, with Aditi, Sindhu, Earth and Heaven, be our protectors.
