गाय॑न्ति त्वा गाय॒त्रिणोऽर्च॑न्त्य॒र्कम॒र्किणः॑ । ब्र॒ह्माण॑स्त्वा शतक्रत॒ उद्वं॒शमि॑व येमिरे
gāyanti tvā gāyatriṇo'rcantyarkamarkiṇaḥ brahmāṇastvā śatakrata udvaṃśamiva yemire
They sing thy praises; the Gayatrī chanters and the worshippers invoke thee—O Brahmanaspati, I lift thee a hundredfold like one grown mighty.

यत्सानोः॒ सानु॒मारु॑ह॒द्भूर्यस्प॑ष्ट॒ कर्त्व॑म् । तदिन्द्रो॒ अर्थं॑ चेतति यू॒थेन॑ वृ॒ष्णिरे॑जति
yatsānoḥ sānumāruhadbhūryaspaṣṭa kartvam tadindro arthaṃ cetati yūthena vṛṣṇirejati
When the Saṃu (offering) mounted quickly and firmly with evident effort, Indra discerned its purpose and cast forth a brave band.

यु॒क्ष्वा हि के॒शिना॒ हरी॒ वृष॑णा कक्ष्य॒प्रा । अथा॑ न इन्द्र सोमपा गि॒रामुप॑श्रुतिं चर
yukṣvā hi keśinā harī vṛṣaṇā kakṣyaprā athā na indra somapā girāmupaśrutiṃ cara
He struck with his mighty shaggy locks like a steed’s thrust, then, O Soma-drinker Indra, follow the heard hymn and pursue its fame.

एहि॒ स्तोमा॑ँ अ॒भि स्व॑रा॒भि गृ॑णी॒ह्या रु॑व । ब्रह्म॑ च नो वसो॒ सचेन्द्र॑ य॒ज्ञं च॑ वर्धय
ehi stomām̐ abhi svarābhi gṛṇīhyā ruva brahma ca no vaso sacendra yajñaṃ ca vardhaya
Come, accept the praise celebrated with voices; grant us wealth and Brahmanas with Indra, and increase the sacrificial rite.

ukthamindrāya śaṃsyaṃ vardhanaṃ puruniṣṣidhe śakro yathā suteṣu ṇo rāraṇatsakhyeṣu ca
I shall laud Indra with a hymn that grows in the assembly of men; as Śakra in the houses, he protects us in battles and among companions.

तमित्स॑खि॒त्व ई॑महे॒ तं रा॒ये तं सु॒वीर्ये॑ । स श॒क्र उ॒त नः॑ शक॒दिन्द्रो॒ वसु॒ दय॑मानः
tamitsakhitva īmahe taṃ rāye taṃ suvīrye sa śakra uta naḥ śakadindro vasu dayamānaḥ
May that friend bring us glory, that king, that hero; may mighty Indra, bestower of wealth, be gracious to us.

सु॒वि॒वृतं॑ सुनि॒रज॒मिन्द्र॒ त्वादा॑त॒मिद्यशः॑ । गवा॒मप॑ व्र॒जं वृ॑धि कृणु॒ष्व राधो॑ अद्रिवः
suvivṛtaṃ sunirajamindra tvādātamidyaśaḥ gavāmapa vrajaṃ vṛdhi kṛṇuṣva rādho adrivaḥ
Spread wide, O Indra, with swift might; today grant us victorious bounty. Drive on the herds of kine and increase the cows' yield; bestow, like mountains, abundant wealth.

न॒हि त्वा॒ रोद॑सी उ॒भे ऋ॑घा॒यमा॑ण॒मिन्व॑तः । जेषः॒ स्व॑र्वतीर॒पः सं गा अ॒स्मभ्यं॑ धूनुहि
nahi tvā rodasī ubhe ṛghāyamāṇaminvataḥ jeṣaḥ svarvatīrapaḥ saṃ gā asmabhyaṃ dhūnuhi
You do not grieve; both prayers call you, seeking—may flowing rivers and high heaven come to us; bring the waters rich in treasure to our folk.

आश्रु॑त्कर्ण श्रु॒धी हवं॒ नू चि॑द्दधिष्व मे॒ गिरः॑ । इन्द्र॒ स्तोम॑मि॒मं मम॑ कृ॒ष्वा यु॒जश्चि॒दन्त॑रम्
āśrutkarṇa śrudhī havaṃ nū ciddadhiṣva me giraḥ indra stomamimaṃ mama kṛṣvā yujaścidantaram
With ears attentive to the hymn and mind fixed on the sacrifice, heed my word. Indra, accept this praise of mine; make it potent within, uniting inner and outer.

वि॒द्मा हि त्वा॒ वृष॑न्तमं॒ वाजे॑षु हवन॒श्रुत॑म् । वृष॑न्तमस्य हूमह ऊ॒तिं स॑हस्र॒सात॑माम्
vidmā hi tvā vṛṣantamaṃ vājeṣu havanaśrutam vṛṣantamasya hūmaha ūtiṃ sahasrasātamām
We know thee as the mighty bull among treasures, renowned in sacred rites. Make this mighty roar of thine reach a thousandfold power for us.

ā tū na indra kauśika mandasānaḥ sutaṃ piba navyamāyuḥ pra sū tira kṛdhī sahasrasāmṛṣim
Come then, Indra Koushika, drink the pressed oblation with gentle mind. Grant fresh life, bestow a thousandfold heroism upon the seer.

परि॑ त्वा गिर्वणो॒ गिर॑ इ॒मा भ॑वन्तु वि॒श्वतः॑ । वृ॒द्धायु॒मनु॒ वृद्ध॑यो॒ जुष्टा॑ भवन्तु॒ जुष्ट॑यः
pari tvā girvaṇo gira imā bhavantu viśvataḥ vṛddhāyumanu vṛddhayo juṣṭā bhavantu juṣṭayaḥ
May your songs go around like a circling voice from all sides. May age-increasing prosperity and strengthened powers be agreeable; may the prosperous ones and those fit for prosperity be glad.
