I shall laud Indra with a hymn that grows in the assembly of men; as Śakra in the houses, he protects us in battles and among companions.

The hymn, the cause of increase, is to be repeated to Indra, the repeller of many foes, that Śakra may speak (with kindness) to our sons and to our friends.

To Indra must a laud be said, to strengthen him who freely gives, That Sakra may take pleasure in our friendship and drink-offerings.
