१-६ अथर्वा। दिशः, रुद्रः, १ अग्निः असितः, आदित्याः, २ इन्द्रः, तिरश्चिराजी, पितरः, ३ वरुणः पृदाकुः, अन्नं, ४ सोमः, स्वजः, अशनिः, ५ विष्णुः, कल्माषग्रीवो वीरुधः, ६ बृहस्पतिः, श्वित्रं, वर्षम्। १-६ पञ्चपदा ककुम्मतीगर्भाऽष्टिः, (२ अत्यष्टिः, ५ भुरिक्)। प्राची॒ दिग॒ग्निरधि॑पतिरसि॒तो र॑क्षि॒तादि॒त्याल इष॑वः । तेभ्यो॒ नमोऽधि॑पतिभ्यो॒ नमो॑ रक्षि॒तृभ्यो॒ नम॒ इषु॑भ्यो॒ नम॑ एभ्यो अस्तु । यो॒३ऽस्मान् द्वेष्टि॒ यं व॒यं द्वि॒ष्मस्तं वो॒ जम्भे॑ दध्मः ॥१॥
prācī dig agnir adhipatir asito rakṣitā ādityāla iṣavaḥ. tebhyo namo’dhipatibhyo namo rakṣitṛbhyo nama iṣubhyo nama ebhyo astu. yo’smān dveṣṭi yaṃ vayaṃ dviṣmas taṃ vo jambhe dadhmaḥ.
In the eastern quarter Agni is overlord, Asita is guardian, the Ādityas are the arrows. Homage to the overlords, homage to the guardians, homage to the arrows—homage be to these. Whoso hates us, and whom we hate, him we consign to your jaws.

दक्षि॑णा॒ दिगिन्द्रोऽधि॑पति॒स्तिर॑श्चिराजी रक्षि॒ता पि॒तर॒ इष॑वः । तेभ्यो॒ नमोऽधि॑पतिभ्यो॒ नमो॑ रक्षि॒तृभ्यो॒ नम॒ इषु॑भ्यो॒ नम॑ एभ्यो अस्तु । यो॒३ऽस्मान् द्वेष्टि॒ यं व॒यं द्वि॒ष्मस्तं वो॒ जम्भे॑ दध्मः ॥२॥
dakṣiṇā dig indro’dhipatis tiraścirañjī rakṣitā pitarā iṣavaḥ. tebhyo namo’dhipatibhyo namo rakṣitṛbhyo nama iṣubhyo nama ebhyo astu. yo’smān dveṣṭi yaṃ vayaṃ dviṣmas taṃ vo jambhe dadhmaḥ.
In the southern quarter Indra is overlord, Tiraścirañjī is guardian, the Pitaraḥ are the arrows. Homage to the overlords, homage to the guardians, homage to the arrows—homage be to these. Whoso hates us, and whom we hate, him we consign to your jaws.

उदी॑ची॒ दिक् सोमोऽधि॑पतिः स्व॒जो र॑क्षि॒ताशनि॒रिष॑वः । तेभ्यो॒ नमोऽधि॑पतिभ्यो॒ नमो॑ रक्षि॒तृभ्यो॒ नम॒ इषु॑भ्यो॒ नम॑ एभ्यो अस्तु । यो॒३ऽस्मान् द्वेष्टि॒ यं व॒यं द्वि॒ष्मस्तं वो॒ जम्भे॑ दध्मः ॥४॥
udīcī dik somo’dhipatiḥ svajo rakṣitā aśanir iṣavaḥ. tebhyo namo’dhipatibhyo namo rakṣitṛbhyo nama iṣubhyo nama ebhyo astu. yo’smān dveṣṭi yaṃ vayaṃ dviṣmas taṃ vo jambhe dadhmaḥ.
In the northern quarter Soma is overlord, Svaja is guardian, lightning is the arrow. Homage to the overlords, homage to the guardians, homage to the arrows—homage be to these. Whoso hates us, and whom we hate, him we consign to your jaws.

ध्रु॒वा दिग् विष्णु॒रधि॑पतिः क॒ल्माष॑ग्रीवो रक्षि॒ता वी॒रुध॒ इष॑वः । तेभ्यो॒ नमोऽधि॑पतिभ्यो॒ नमो॑ रक्षि॒तृभ्यो॒ नम॒ इषु॑भ्यो नम॒ एभ्यो अस्तु । यो॒३ऽस्मान् द्वेष्टि॒ यं व॒यं द्वि॒ष्मस्तं वो॒ जम्भे॑ दध्मः ॥५॥
dhruvā dig viṣṇur adhipatiḥ kalmāṣagrīvo rakṣitā vīrudha iṣavaḥ tebhyo namo’dhipatibhyo namo rakṣitṛbhyo nama iṣubhyo nama ebhyo astu yo smān dveṣṭi yaṃ vayaṃ dviṣmas taṃ vo jambhe dadhmaḥ
In the fixed quarter Viṣṇu is the overlord; Kalmāṣagrīva is the protector; the plants are arrows. To them, homage—to the overlords, homage; to the protectors, homage; to the arrows, homage; homage be to these. Whoever hates us, and whom we hate, we lay him in your Jambha.

ऊ॒र्ध्वा दिग् बृह॒स्पति॒रधि॑पतिः श्वि॒त्रो र॑क्षि॒ता व॒र्षमिष॑वः । तेभ्यो॒ नमोऽधि॑पतिभ्यो॒ नमो॑ रक्षि॒तृभ्यो॒ नम॒ इषु॑भ्यो॒ नम॑ एभ्यो अस्तु । यो॒३स्मान् द्वेष्टि॒ यं व॒यं द्वि॒ष्मस्तं वो॒ जम्भे॑ दध्मः ॥६॥

In the upward quarter Bṛhaspati is the overlord; the speckled one is the protector; the rains are arrows. To them, homage—to the overlords, homage; to the protectors, homage; to the arrows, homage; homage be to these. Whoever hates us, and whom we hate, we lay him in your Jambha.
