कनि॑क्रन्ति॒ हरि॒रा सृ॒ज्यमा॑नः॒ सीद॒न्वन॑स्य ज॒ठरे॑ पुना॒नः । नृभि॑र्य॒तः कृ॑णुते नि॒र्णिजं॒ गा अतो॑ म॒तीर्ज॑नयत स्व॒धाभिः॑
kanikranti harirā sṛjyamānaḥ sīdanvanasya jaṭhare punānaḥ nṛbhiryataḥ kṛṇute nirṇijaṃ gā ato matīrjanayata svadhābhiḥ
The golden-hued Hari advances, placed in the belly of the grove; the mortal ones make offerings from men; hence wisdom produced by sacrificial songs generated insight with rites.

हरिः॑ सृजा॒नः प॒थ्या॑मृ॒तस्येय॑र्ति॒ वाच॑मरि॒तेव॒ नाव॑म् । दे॒वो दे॒वानां॒ गुह्या॑नि॒ नामा॒विष्कृ॑णोति ब॒र्हिषि॑ प्र॒वाचे॑
hariḥ sṛjānaḥ pathyāmṛtasyeyarti vācamariteva nāvam devo devānāṃ guhyāni nāmāviṣkṛṇoti barhiṣi pravāce
Hari, creative of the path of immortality, fashions speech like a boat for us. The god reveals the hidden names of gods, announcing them with the sacred hymn.

अ॒पामि॒वेदू॒र्मय॒स्तर्तु॑राणाः॒ प्र म॑नी॒षा ई॑रते॒ सोम॒मच्छ॑ । न॒म॒स्यन्ती॒रुप॑ च॒ यन्ति॒ सं चा च॑ विशन्त्युश॒तीरु॒शन्त॑म्
apāmivedūrmayastarturāṇāḥ pra manīṣā īrate somamaccha namasyantīrupa ca yanti saṃ cā ca viśantyuśatīruśantam
Like a flood of waters the swift ones bear the currents; the thoughtful pour Soma. They bow and go to the river’s bank and enter together, filling and calming the shores.

तं म॑र्मृजा॒नं म॑हि॒षं न साना॑वं॒शुं दु॑हन्त्यु॒क्षणं॑ गिरि॒ष्ठाम् । तं वा॑वशा॒नं म॒तयः॑ सचन्ते त्रि॒तो बि॑भर्ति॒ वरु॑णं समु॒द्रे
taṃ marmṛjānaṃ mahiṣaṃ na sānāvaṃśuṃ duhantyukṣaṇaṃ giriṣṭhām taṃ vāvaśānaṃ matayaḥ sacante trito bibharti varuṇaṃ samudre
They milk the great buffalo, not the low-born kine; the chiefs preserve the mighty one; the people uphold Varuna in the ocean.

इष्य॒न्वाच॑मुपव॒क्तेव॒ होतुः॑ पुना॒न इ॑न्दो॒ वि ष्या॑ मनी॒षाम् । इन्द्र॑श्च॒ यत्क्षय॑थः॒ सौभ॑गाय सु॒वीर्य॑स्य॒ पत॑यः स्याम
iṣyanvācamupavakteva hotuḥ punāna indo vi ṣyā manīṣām indraśca yatkṣayathaḥ saubhagāya suvīryasya patayaḥ syāma
Striving with speech, the priest sat, the brahman Indra fostered the counsels of minds. May Indra’s decaying foe be for prosperity, so that lordship and excellent strength be ours.
