iṣyanvācamupavakteva hotuḥ punāna indo vi ṣyā manīṣām indraśca yatkṣayathaḥ saubhagāya suvīryasya patayaḥ syāma
Striving with speech, the priest sat, the brahman Indra fostered the counsels of minds. May Indra’s decaying foe be for prosperity, so that lordship and excellent strength be ours.
Indu, being purified, stimulating the praise (of the worshippers) like the answer of the hotā set free the understanding; when (you) and Indra are present together (at the sacrifice) may we be prosperous, may we become the possessors of excellent male progeny.
Sending thy voice out as Director, loosen the Invoker's thought, O Indu, as they cleanse thee. While thou and Indra rule for our advantage, may we be masters of heroic vigour.
