प्रो स्य वह्निः॑ प॒थ्या॑भिरस्यान्दि॒वो न वृ॒ष्टिः पव॑मानो अक्षाः । स॒हस्र॑धारो असद॒न्न्य१॒॑स्मे मा॒तुरु॒पस्थे॒ वन॒ आ च॒ सोमः॑
pro sya vahniḥ pathyābhirasyāndivo na vṛṣṭiḥ pavamāno akṣāḥ sahasradhāro asadannya1sme māturupasthe vana ā ca somaḥ
May Agni travel the paths; in the heavens there is no rain; the purifier watches the firmaments. He who bears a thousand waters is not absent for me; stand up, O Mother, come to the forest, and Soma with thee.

राजा॒ सिन्धू॑नामवसिष्ट॒ वास॑ ऋ॒तस्य॒ नाव॒मारु॑ह॒द्रजि॑ष्ठाम् । अ॒प्सु द्र॒प्सो वा॑वृधे श्ये॒नजू॑तो दु॒ह ईं॑ पि॒ता दु॒ह ईं॑ पि॒तुर्जाम्
rājā sindhūnāmavasiṣṭa vāsa ṛtasya nāvamāruhadrajiṣṭhām apsu drapso vāvṛdhe śyenajūto duha īṃ pitā duha īṃ piturjām
O king, the rivers’ lord established the dwelling-place of Ṛta; the ship ascended to the highest seat. In the waters a drop grew, the hawk was yoked; the father gave milk, the father begot offspring.

सिं॒हं न॑सन्त॒ मध्वो॑ अ॒यासं॒ हरि॑मरु॒षं दि॒वो अ॒स्य पति॑म् । शूरो॑ यु॒त्सु प्र॑थ॒मः पृ॑च्छते॒ गा अस्य॒ चक्ष॑सा॒ परि॑ पात्यु॒क्षा
siṃhaṃ nasanta madhvo ayāsaṃ harimaruṣaṃ divo asya patim śūro yutsu prathamaḥ pṛcchate gā asya cakṣasā pari pātyukṣā
The lion tears the removed one; the brave honeyed one seized the bright steed, lord of this heaven. The hero first questions in battle: let his eye watch around, O charioteer.

मधु॑पृष्ठं घो॒रम॒यास॒मश्वं॒ रथे॑ युञ्जन्त्युरुच॒क्र ऋ॒ष्वम् । स्वसा॑र ईं जा॒मयो॑ मर्जयन्ति॒ सना॑भयो वा॒जिन॑मूर्जयन्ति
madhupṛṣṭhaṃ ghoramayāsamaśvaṃ rathe yuñjantyurucakra ṛṣvam svasāra īṃ jāmayo marjayanti sanābhayo vājinamūrjayanti
On the honeyed flank, terrible are the steeds yoked to the chariot; they harnessed the swift ones to the rams. Sisters wash the pair of yoke-bands; the mighty ones washed the vigorous charger.

चत॑स्र ईं घृत॒दुहः॑ सचन्ते समा॒ने अ॒न्तर्ध॒रुणे॒ निष॑त्ताः । ता ई॑मर्षन्ति॒ नम॑सा पुना॒नास्ता ईं॑ वि॒श्वतः॒ परि॑ षन्ति पू॒र्वीः
catasra īṃ ghṛtaduhaḥ sacante samāne antardharuṇe niṣattāḥ tā īmarṣanti namasā punānāstā īṃ viśvataḥ pari ṣanti pūrvīḥ
Four milking mothers press the churn, equal in might, set within the deep vessel. These they milk with reverence; the mothers press them from all sides and earlier ones surround them.

वि॒ष्ट॒म्भो दि॒वो ध॒रुणः॑ पृथि॒व्या विश्वा॑ उ॒त क्षि॒तयो॒ हस्ते॑ अस्य । अस॑त्त॒ उत्सो॑ गृण॒ते नि॒युत्वा॒न्मध्वो॑ अं॒शुः प॑वत इन्द्रि॒याय॑
viṣṭambho divo dharuṇaḥ pṛthivyā viśvā uta kṣitayo haste asya asatta utso gṛṇate niyutvānmadhvo aṃśuḥ pavata indriyāya
The upheld pillar of heaven, the bearer of earth, all worlds and realms are in his hand. The non-existent speaks forth, controlling, the withering ray serves the sense.

व॒न्वन्नवा॑तो अ॒भि दे॒ववी॑ति॒मिन्द्रा॑य सोम वृत्र॒हा प॑वस्व । श॒ग्धि म॒हः पु॑रुश्च॒न्द्रस्य॑ रा॒यः सु॒वीर्य॑स्य॒ पत॑यः स्याम
vanvannavāto abhi devavītimindrāya soma vṛtrahā pavasva śagdhi mahaḥ puruścandrasya rāyaḥ suvīryasya patayaḥ syāma
O prosperous one, new-wind to the godly, Indra’s Soma, breaker of Vṛtra, be thou active in worship. Shine great as the sovereign of the moon’s realm; be ruler of heroic vigor.
