मधु॑पृष्ठं घो॒रम॒यास॒मश्वं॒ रथे॑ युञ्जन्त्युरुच॒क्र ऋ॒ष्वम् । स्वसा॑र ईं जा॒मयो॑ मर्जयन्ति॒ सना॑भयो वा॒जिन॑मूर्जयन्ति
madhupṛṣṭhaṃ ghoramayāsamaśvaṃ rathe yuñjantyurucakra ṛṣvam svasāra īṃ jāmayo marjayanti sanābhayo vājinamūrjayanti
On the honeyed flank, terrible are the steeds yoked to the chariot; they harnessed the swift ones to the rams. Sisters wash the pair of yoke-bands; the mighty ones washed the vigorous charger.
(The priests) attach to the broad-wheeled car the glossy-backed terrible active graceful horse; the sister fingers cleanse him; the kinsfolk invigorate the mighty (Soma).
They harness to the broad-wheeled car the mighty Courser whose back bears meath, unwearied, awful. The twins, the sisters brighten him, and strengthen-these children of one damethe vigorous Racer.
