अ॒भि प्रि॒याणि॑ पवते॒ चनो॑हितो॒ नामा॑नि य॒ह्वो अधि॒ येषु॒ वर्ध॑ते । आ सूर्य॑स्य बृह॒तो बृ॒हन्नधि॒ रथं॒ विष्व॑ञ्चमरुहद्विचक्ष॒णः
abhi priyāṇi pavate canohito nāmāni yahvo adhi yeṣu vardhate ā sūryasya bṛhato bṛhannadhi rathaṃ viṣvañcamaruhadvicakṣaṇaḥ
He blows the pleasant breezes; the named Yajña grows among those whom the Fathers cherish. Above the great sun, the mighty chariot, with two-faced insight, climbed across the universes.

ऋ॒तस्य॑ जि॒ह्वा प॑वते॒ मधु॑ प्रि॒यं व॒क्ता पति॑र्धि॒यो अ॒स्या अदा॑भ्यः । दधा॑ति पु॒त्रः पि॒त्रोर॑पी॒च्यं१॒॑ नाम॑ तृ॒तीय॒मधि॑ रोच॒ने दि॒वः
ṛtasya jihvā pavate madhu priyaṃ vaktā patirdhiyo asyā adābhyaḥ dadhāti putraḥ pitrorapīcyaṃ1 nāma tṛtīyamadhi rocane divaḥ
The tongue of Rta (order) pours forth honey; the beloved speech its lord gave from the fathers. A son places a name like his fathers’—the third share at the brightness of heaven.

अव॑ द्युता॒नः क॒लशा॑ँ अचिक्रद॒न्नृभि॑र्येमा॒नः कोश॒ आ हि॑र॒ण्यये॑ । अ॒भीमृ॒तस्य॑ दो॒हना॑ अनूष॒ताधि॑ त्रिपृ॒ष्ठ उ॒षसो॒ वि रा॑जति
ava dyutānaḥ kalaśām̐ acikradannṛbhiryemānaḥ kośa ā hiraṇyaye abhīmṛtasya dohanā anūṣatādhi tripṛṣṭha uṣaso vi rājati
They shaped the shining bowls of the heavens and set them for men; the treasure-house spoke gold. From the milking of the immortal one, wealth was drawn; the fully nourished dawn poured forth.

अद्रि॑भिः सु॒तो म॒तिभि॒श्चनो॑हितः प्ररो॒चय॒न्रोद॑सी मा॒तरा॒ शुचिः॑ । रोमा॒ण्यव्या॑ स॒मया॒ वि धा॑वति॒ मधो॒र्धारा॒ पिन्व॑माना दि॒वेदि॑वे
adribhiḥ suto matibhiścanohitaḥ prarocayanrodasī mātarā śuciḥ romāṇyavyā samayā vi dhāvati madhordhārā pinvamānā divedive
With mountains, thoughts, and sons blessed, the pure mother produced milk. With hairs and with timely union the honey-stream runs, pouring milk by day.

परि॑ सोम॒ प्र ध॑न्वा स्व॒स्तये॒ नृभिः॑ पुना॒नो अ॒भि वा॑सया॒शिर॑म् । ये ते॒ मदा॑ आह॒नसो॒ विहा॑यस॒स्तेभि॒रिन्द्रं॑ चोदय॒ दात॑वे म॒घम्
pari soma pra dhanvā svastaye nṛbhiḥ punāno abhi vāsayāśiram ye te madā āhanaso vihāyasastebhirindraṃ codaya dātave magham
Surround Soma with bounty for welfare; the cattle, returning home, dwell near the dwellings. They who brought you the draughts, with them rouse Indra and grant the mighty gift.
