प्र सोमा॑सो मद॒च्युतः॒ श्रव॑से नो म॒घोनः॑ । सु॒ता वि॒दथे॑ अक्रमुः
pra somāso madacyutaḥ śravase no maghonaḥ sutā vidathe akramuḥ
The Soma-drinkers, unshaken by delight, brought forth our hymn of praise; they set the way of sacrifice.

आदीं॑ त्रि॒तस्य॒ योष॑णो॒ हरिं॑ हिन्व॒न्त्यद्रि॑भिः । इन्दु॒मिन्द्रा॑य पी॒तये॑
ādīṃ tritasya yoṣaṇo hariṃ hinvantyadribhiḥ indumindrāya pītaye
The first among the triple gods, the youthful, they struck Hari with stones; Indu-pleasing Indra for drinking.

आदीं॑ हं॒सो यथा॑ ग॒णं विश्व॑स्यावीवशन्म॒तिम् । अत्यो॒ न गोभि॑रज्यते
ādīṃ haṃso yathā gaṇaṃ viśvasyāvīvaśanmatim atyo na gobhirajyate
As the swan first gathered the flock of all, so thought is not overcome by cows alone.

उ॒भे सो॑माव॒चाक॑शन्मृ॒गो न त॒क्तो अ॑र्षसि । सीद॑न्नृ॒तस्य॒ योनि॒मा
ubhe somāvacākaśanmṛgo na takto arṣasi sīdannṛtasya yonimā
Both Somās spoke; the wild deer was not silent, seat ye upon the source of unrighteousness.

अ॒भि गावो॑ अनूषत॒ योषा॑ जा॒रमि॑व प्रि॒यम् । अग॑न्ना॒जिं यथा॑ हि॒तम्
abhi gāvo anūṣata yoṣā jāramiva priyam agannājiṃ yathā hitam
Towards the cows he moved like a beloved husband; as the fire enjoys the oblation, so was the gift well-placed.

अ॒स्मे धे॑हि द्यु॒मद्यशो॑ म॒घव॑द्भ्यश्च॒ मह्यं॑ च । स॒निं मे॒धामु॒त श्रवः॑
asme dhehi dyumadyaśo maghavadbhyaśca mahyaṃ ca saniṃ medhāmuta śravaḥ
Kindle for me, O Dawn, light of heaven today and graciously to me; may fame and insight be mine.
