क॒न्या॒३॒॑ वार॑वाय॒ती सोम॒मपि॑ स्रु॒तावि॑दत् । अस्तं॒ भर॑न्त्यब्रवी॒दिन्द्रा॑य सुनवै त्वा श॒क्राय॑ सुनवै त्वा
kanyā3 vāravāyatī somamapi srutāvidat astaṃ bharantyabravīdindrāya sunavai tvā śakrāya sunavai tvā
A maiden, bearer of draughts, even Soma, the knower of streams, flowed. When evening came they said: “Hark to Indra, listen to you, O Shakra, listen to you.”

अ॒सौ य एषि॑ वीर॒को गृ॒हंगृ॑हं वि॒चाक॑शद् । इ॒मं जम्भ॑सुतं पिब धा॒नाव॑न्तं कर॒म्भिण॑मपू॒पव॑न्तमु॒क्थिन॑म्
asau ya eṣi vīrako gṛhaṃgṛhaṃ vicākaśad imaṃ jambhasutaṃ piba dhānāvantaṃ karambhiṇamapūpavantamukthinam
“You who are heroic, entered the house, surveyed the homestead. Drink this, the joyous son of Jambhasu, O giver of wealth, the bringer of cattle, the free one.”

आ च॒न त्वा॑ चिकित्सा॒मोऽधि॑ च॒न त्वा॒ नेम॑सि । शनै॑रिव शन॒कैरि॒वेन्द्रा॑येन्दो॒ परि॑ स्रव
ā cana tvā cikitsāmo'dhi cana tvā nemasi śanairiva śanakairivendrāyendo pari srava
“I will care for you, I will attend you; I will rule over you. Slowly like the slow-moving ones, O Indra, let the streams flow around.”

कु॒विच्छक॑त्कु॒वित्कर॑त्कु॒विन्नो॒ वस्य॑स॒स्कर॑त् । कु॒वित्प॑ति॒द्विषो॑ य॒तीरिन्द्रे॑ण सं॒गमा॑महै
kuvicchakatkuvitkaratkuvinno vasyasaskarat kuvitpatidviṣo yatīrindreṇa saṃgamāmahai
The bow-cutters, the doers of exploits, the dwellers in might made firm the dwelling. Wives and lords, enemies — we met with Indra in assembly.

इ॒मानि॒ त्रीणि॑ वि॒ष्टपा॒ तानी॑न्द्र॒ वि रो॑हय । शिर॑स्त॒तस्यो॒र्वरा॒मादि॒दं म॒ उपो॒दरे॑
imāni trīṇi viṣṭapā tānīndra vi rohaya śirastatasyorvarāmādidaṃ ma upodare
These three you, strong Indra, set in motion: the head, the glorious beginning, this which is in the belly.

अ॒सौ च॒ या न॑ उ॒र्वरादि॒मां त॒न्वं१॒॑ मम॑ । अथो॑ त॒तस्य॒ यच्छिरः॒ सर्वा॒ ता रो॑म॒शा कृ॑धि
asau ca yā na urvarādimāṃ tanvaṃ1 mama atho tatasya yacchiraḥ sarvā tā romaśā kṛdhi
And that which is not from the glorious beginning — give me that body. Then do for that head of his all the hairs as protection.

खे रथ॑स्य॒ खेऽन॑सः॒ खे यु॒गस्य॑ शतक्रतो । अ॒पा॒लामि॑न्द्र॒ त्रिष्पू॒त्व्यकृ॑णोः॒ सूर्य॑त्वचम्
khe rathasya khe'nasaḥ khe yugasya śatakrato apālāmindra triṣpūtvyakṛṇoḥ sūryatvacam
Who is the eater of the sky, the breath of the sky, the yokemaker a hundred-brained? I make Indra leave the threefold light of the sun’s hide undone.
