य॒ज्ञस्य॒ हि स्थ ऋ॒त्विजा॒ सस्नी॒ वाजे॑षु॒ कर्म॑सु । इन्द्रा॑ग्नी॒ तस्य॑ बोधतम्
yajñasya hi stha ṛtvijā sasnī vājeṣu karmasu indrāgnī tasya bodhatam
For the rite indeed the ritual priests sit modestly in the acts of sacrifice. Indra and Agni, let them be aware of it.

तो॒शासा॑ रथ॒यावा॑ना वृत्र॒हणाप॑राजिता । इन्द्रा॑ग्नी॒ तस्य॑ बोधतम्
tośāsā rathayāvānā vṛtrahaṇāparājitā indrāgnī tasya bodhatam
May the chariot‑bearing, victorious in slaying Vrtra, be joyful and unconquered. Indra and Agni, let them be aware of it.

इ॒दं वां॑ मदि॒रं मध्वधु॑क्ष॒न्नद्रि॑भि॒र्नरः॑ । इन्द्रा॑ग्नी॒ तस्य॑ बोधतम्
idaṃ vāṃ madiraṃ madhvadhukṣannadribhirnaraḥ indrāgnī tasya bodhatam
This is your strong intoxicating draught, pressed from honey and barley by men. Indra and Agni, let them be aware of it.

जु॒षेथां॑ य॒ज्ञमि॒ष्टये॑ सु॒तं सोमं॑ सधस्तुती । इन्द्रा॑ग्नी॒ आ ग॑तं नरा
juṣethāṃ yajñamiṣṭaye sutaṃ somaṃ sadhastutī indrāgnī ā gataṃ narā
May they pour this libation for the desired rite, the pure Soma, and offer praise. Indra and Agni, men have come.

इ॒मा जु॑षेथां॒ सव॑ना॒ येभि॑र्ह॒व्यान्यू॒हथुः॑ । इन्द्रा॑ग्नी॒ आ ग॑तं नरा
imā juṣethāṃ savanā yebhirhavyānyūhathuḥ indrāgnī ā gataṃ narā
These libations of the sacrificers — those who performed the oblations — may they be drunk. Indra and Agni, men have come.

imāṃ gāyatravartaniṃ juṣethāṃ suṣṭutiṃ mama indrāgnī ā gataṃ narā
Accept this Gāyatrī‑turned rite; accept my good praise. Indra and Agni, men have come.

प्रा॒त॒र्याव॑भि॒रा ग॑तं दे॒वेभि॑र्जेन्यावसू । इन्द्रा॑ग्नी॒ सोम॑पीतये
prātaryāvabhirā gataṃ devebhirjenyāvasū indrāgnī somapītaye
May the priests come with morning offerings to the gods before the dawn. Indra and Agni, for the drinking of Soma.

श्या॒वाश्व॑स्य सुन्व॒तोऽत्री॑णां शृणुतं॒ हव॑म् । इन्द्रा॑ग्नी॒ सोम॑पीतये
śyāvāśvasya sunvato'trīṇāṃ śaṛṇutaṃ havam indrāgnī somapītaye
Hear the chant of the three Atri seers, the hymn of the ritual‑doers here. Indra and Agni, for the drinking of Soma.

ए॒वा वा॑मह्व ऊ॒तये॒ यथाहु॑वन्त॒ मेधि॑राः । इन्द्रा॑ग्नी॒ सोम॑पीतये
evā vāmahva ūtaye yathāhuvanta medhirāḥ indrāgnī somapītaye
Thus indeed do the sacrificers invoke us as called—Indra, Agni, Soma for the feast.

आहं सर॑स्वतीवतोरिन्द्रा॒ग्न्योरवो॑ वृणे । याभ्यां॑ गाय॒त्रमृ॒च्यते॑
āhaṃ sarasvatīvatorindrāgnyoravo vṛṇe yābhyāṃ gāyatramṛcyate
I choose Indra and Agni like the river Sarasvatī, from whom the Gayatri is invoked.
