आ या॑हि सुषु॒मा हि त॒ इन्द्र॒ सोमं॒ पिबा॑ इ॒मम् । एदं ब॒र्हिः स॑दो॒ मम॑
ā yāhi suṣumā hi ta indra somaṃ pibā imam edaṃ barhiḥ sado mama
Come hither, bring bounty; O Indra, drink this Soma. This hymn is my invocation.

ā tvā brahmayujā harī vahatāmindra keśinā upa brahmāṇi naḥ śaṛṇu
We invoke you with the hymn, O Indra with fair locks; listen to the sacred rites we offer.

ब्र॒ह्माण॑स्त्वा व॒यं यु॒जा सो॑म॒पामि॑न्द्र सो॒मिनः॑ । सु॒ताव॑न्तो हवामहे
brahmāṇastvā vayaṃ yujā somapāmindra sominaḥ sutāvanto havāmahe
We join you, O Indra, with Soma and the Soma-drinkers; having sons, we offer oblations.

ā no yāhi sutāvato'smākaṃ suṣṭutīrupa pibā su śiprinnandhasaḥ
Come to us, bring blessings for our well-being; drink Soma, swift for the blind.

ā te siñcāmi kukṣyoranu gātrā vi dhāvatu gṛbhāya jihvayā madhu
I sprinkle thee upon the chest and along the limbs; with the tongue pour honey into the bowls.

svāduṣṭe astu saṃsude madhumāntanve3 tava somaḥ śamastu te hṛde
May the sweetness remain, bring together the joyous honey of thy course; Soma, may peace dwell in thy heart.

अ॒यमु॑ त्वा विचर्षणे॒ जनी॑रिवा॒भि संवृ॑तः । प्र सोम॑ इन्द्र सर्पतु
ayamu tvā vicarṣaṇe janīrivābhi saṃvṛtaḥ pra soma indra sarpatu
I have poured thee forth as one pouring the produce of cows restrained in their stalls; O Soma Indra, slay affliction.

तु॒वि॒ग्रीवो॑ व॒पोद॑रः सुबा॒हुरन्ध॑सो॒ मदे॑ । इन्द्रो॑ वृ॒त्राणि॑ जिघ्नते
tuvigrīvo vapodaraḥ subāhurandhaso made indro vṛtrāṇi jighnate
With neck and chest, with limbs and mighty strength intoxicated, Indra smites the Vṛtras in might.

इन्द्र॒ प्रेहि॑ पु॒रस्त्वं विश्व॒स्येशा॑न॒ ओज॑सा । वृ॒त्राणि॑ वृत्रहञ्जहि
indra prehi purastvaṃ viśvasyeśāna ojasā vṛtrāṇi vṛtrahañjahi
First thou didst send forth thy power before thee, O ruler of the world; destroy the Vṛtras, O slayer of foes.

दी॒र्घस्ते॑ अस्त्वङ्कु॒शो येना॒ वसु॑ प्र॒यच्छ॑सि । यज॑मानाय सुन्व॒ते
dīrghaste astvaṅkuśo yenā vasu prayacchasi yajamānāya sunvate
May thy long goad be, by which thou gavest riches; bring riches to the worshipper, O gracious one.

अ॒यं त॑ इन्द्र॒ सोमो॒ निपू॑तो॒ अधि॑ ब॒र्हिषि॑ । एही॑म॒स्य द्रवा॒ पिब॑
ayaṃ ta indra somo nipūto adhi barhiṣi ehīmasya dravā piba
This Soma, O Indra, purified on the altar — drink the flowing, bright draught of this hymn.

शाचि॑गो॒ शाचि॑पूजना॒यं रणा॑य ते सु॒तः । आख॑ण्डल॒ प्र हू॑यसे

I honor thee with libations and oblations at the battle-rite; I invoke thee with unbroken praise.

यस्ते॑ शृङ्गवृषो नपा॒त्प्रण॑पात्कुण्ड॒पाय्यः॑ । न्य॑स्मिन्दध्र॒ आ मनः॑
yaste śaṛṅgavṛṣo napātpraṇapātkuṇḍapāyyaḥ nyasmindadhra ā manaḥ
He who brings thee the horned bull that fell, having washed and sprinkled, may he set his mind towards thee.

वास्तो॑ष्पते ध्रु॒वा स्थूणांस॑त्रं सो॒म्याना॑म् । द्र॒प्सो भे॒त्ता पु॒रां शश्व॑तीना॒मिन्द्रो॒ मुनी॑नां॒ सखा॑
vāstoṣpate dhruvā sthūṇāṃsatraṃ somyānām drapso bhettā purāṃ śaśvatīnāmindro munīnāṃ sakhā
O lord of dwellings, firm in seat, protector of the Soma-drinkers — Indra, friend of sages, who scatters drops and rends the foe from the city.

पृदा॑कुसानुर्यज॒तो ग॒वेष॑ण॒ एकः॒ सन्न॒भि भूय॑सः । भूर्णि॒मश्वं॑ नयत्तु॒जा पु॒रो गृ॒भेन्द्रं॒ सोम॑स्य पी॒तये॑
pṛdākusānuryajato gaveṣaṇa ekaḥ sannabhi bhūyasaḥ bhūrṇimaśvaṃ nayattujā puro gṛbhendraṃ somasya pītaye
The herd-keeper, sacrificing first for cattle, drives the steed into the fold; bring the horse into the house for Soma to be drunk.
