त्वम॑ग्ने व्रत॒पा अ॑सि दे॒व आ मर्त्ये॒ष्वा । त्वं य॒ज्ञेष्वीड्यः॑
tvamagne vratapā asi deva ā martyeṣvā tvaṃ yajñeṣvīḍyaḥ
O Agni, you are the sacrificer, god among mortals; you are the knower in sacrifices.

त्वम॑सि प्र॒शस्यो॑ वि॒दथे॑षु सहन्त्य । अग्ने॑ र॒थीर॑ध्व॒राणा॑म्
tvamasi praśasyo vidatheṣu sahantya agne rathīradhvarāṇām
You are present to be lauded among the worships, Agni, the charioteer who bears the oblations.

sa tvamasmadapa dviṣo yuyodhi jātavedaḥ adevīragne arātīḥ
You are our foe’s destroyer, born-knower in battle; brave Agni, free from distress.

अन्ति॑ चि॒त्सन्त॒मह॑ य॒ज्ञं मर्त॑स्य रि॒पोः । नोप॑ वेषि जातवेदः
anti citsantamaha yajñaṃ martasya ripoḥ nopa veṣi jātavedaḥ
End the strife, O knower: the mortal’s sacrifice with the enemy is ended; do not afflict, born-knower.

मर्ता॒ अम॑र्त्यस्य ते॒ भूरि॒ नाम॑ मनामहे । विप्रा॑सो जा॒तवे॑दसः
martā amartyasya te bhūri nāma manāmahe viprāso jātavedasaḥ
Mortals, immortals—of yours we have many names; celebrated ones, O born-knower.

Praisers of the praised, I acclaim the god for the mortal’s uplift; with songs we invoke Agni.

आ ते॑ व॒त्सो मनो॑ यमत्पर॒माच्चि॑त्स॒धस्था॑त् । अग्ने॒ त्वांका॑मया गि॒रा
ā te vatso mano yamatparamāccitsadhasthāt agne tvāṃkāmayā girā
May your calves, O mind, stand firm at the supreme seat; Agni, I have beloved speech for you.

पु॒रु॒त्रा हि स॒दृङ्ङसि॒ विशो॒ विश्वा॒ अनु॑ प्र॒भुः । स॒मत्सु॑ त्वा हवामहे
purutrā hi sadṛṅṅasi viśo viśvā anu prabhuḥ samatsu tvā havāmahe
Sons are indeed like you; all realms follow the sovereign. We offer you equal oblations.

स॒मत्स्व॒ग्निमव॑से वाज॒यन्तो॑ हवामहे । वाजे॑षु चि॒त्ररा॑धसम्
samatsvagnimavase vājayanto havāmahe vājeṣu citrarādhasam
We bring equal Agni in the oblations, celebrating in the offerings, in the manifold splendid chants.

प्र॒त्नो हि क॒मीड्यो॑ अध्व॒रेषु॑ स॒नाच्च॒ होता॒ नव्य॑श्च॒ सत्सि॑ । स्वां चा॑ग्ने त॒न्वं॑ पि॒प्रय॑स्वा॒स्मभ्यं॑ च॒ सौभ॑ग॒मा य॑जस्व
pratno hi kamīḍyo adhvareṣu sanācca hotā navyaśca satsi svāṃ cāgne tanvaṃ piprayasvāsmabhyaṃ ca saubhagamā yajasva
Truly the striving, the eager doer among priests at the altars, the new and good, may you, Agni, be stretched forth; grant us prosperity, bestow wealth and ritual success.
