आ ते॑ म॒ह इ॑न्द्रो॒त्यु॑ग्र॒ सम॑न्यवो॒ यत्स॒मर॑न्त॒ सेनाः॑ । पता॑ति दि॒द्युन्नर्य॑स्य बा॒ह्वोर्मा ते॒ मनो॑ विष्व॒द्र्य१॒॑ग्वि चा॑रीत्
ā te maha indrotyugra samanyavo yatsamaranta senāḥ patāti didyunnaryasya bāhvormā te mano viṣvadrya1gvi cārīt
May great Indra, sharp and unvanquished, whose hosts are gathered, shine forth. He lifts the glorious arms of men; may your mind go forth, O all-famous, and carry the chariot.

नि दु॒र्ग इ॑न्द्र श्नथिह्य॒मित्रा॑ँ अ॒भि ये नो॒ मर्ता॑सो अ॒मन्ति॑ । आ॒रे तं शंसं॑ कृणुहि निनि॒त्सोरा नो॑ भर स॒म्भर॑णं॒ वसू॑नाम्
ni durga indra śnathihyamitrām̐ abhi ye no martāso amanti āre taṃ śaṃsaṃ kṛṇuhi ninitsorā no bhara sambharaṇaṃ vasūnām
Indra, break the strong enclosures of foes who threaten our mortals. Hail him with praise; gather for us the wealth of the mighty.

श॒तं ते॑ शिप्रिन्नू॒तयः॑ सु॒दासे॑ स॒हस्रं॒ शंसा॑ उ॒त रा॒तिर॑स्तु । ज॒हि वध॑र्व॒नुषो॒ मर्त्य॑स्या॒स्मे द्यु॒म्नमधि॒ रत्नं॑ च धेहि
śataṃ te śiprinnūtayaḥ sudāse sahasraṃ śaṃsā uta rātirastu jahi vadharvanuṣo martyasyāsme dyumnamadhi ratnaṃ ca dhehi
Grant you a hundred swift new steeds, O generous one, thousands of praises and night’s protection. Slay the foe, grant us heavenly treasure and gems for our mortal company.

त्वाव॑तो॒ ही॑न्द्र॒ क्रत्वे॒ अस्मि॒ त्वाव॑तोऽवि॒तुः शू॑र रा॒तौ । विश्वेदहा॑नि तविषीव उग्र॒ँ ओकः॑ कृणुष्व हरिवो॒ न म॑र्धीः
tvāvato hīndra kratve asmi tvāvato'vituḥ śūra rātau viśvedahāni taviṣīva ugram̐ okaḥ kṛṇuṣva harivo na mardhīḥ
From you came my might, Indra; I fashioned the heroic offering, the bold song of night. Burn all the hostile bands; O warriors, do the fierce deeds—grant strength, O Hariva, not contempt.

कुत्सा॑ ए॒ते हर्य॑श्वाय शू॒षमिन्द्रे॒ सहो॑ दे॒वजू॑तमिया॒नाः । स॒त्रा कृ॑धि सु॒हना॑ शूर वृ॒त्रा व॒यं तरु॑त्राः सनुयाम॒ वाज॑म्
kutsā ete haryaśvāya śūṣamindre saho devajūtamiyānāḥ satrā kṛdhi suhanā śūra vṛtrā vayaṃ tarutrāḥ sanuyāma vājam
Why have these horses for worthy deeds become barren? Indra with the god-born comrades, make hostile hosts fall. Do victorious deeds, O well-famed heroes; we, young men, will harness the might.

ए॒वा न॑ इन्द्र॒ वार्य॑स्य पूर्धि॒ प्र ते॑ म॒हीं सु॑म॒तिं वे॑विदाम । इषं॑ पिन्व म॒घव॑द्भ्यः सु॒वीरां॑ यू॒यं पा॑त स्व॒स्तिभिः॒ सदा॑ नः
evā na indra vāryasya pūrdhi pra te mahīṃ sumatiṃ vevidāma iṣaṃ pinva maghavadbhyaḥ suvīrāṃ yūyaṃ pāta svastibhiḥ sadā naḥ
Thus Indra filled the front of the draught; he knew the earth’s good mind. Drink this, O generous ones; may you, heroes, be ours—protect us, be ever auspicious.
