वायो॒ ये ते॑ सह॒स्रिणो॒ रथा॑स॒स्तेभि॒रा ग॑हि । नि॒युत्वा॒न्सोम॑पीतये
vāyo ye te sahasriṇo rathāsastebhirā gahi niyutvānsomapītaye
Vayu, you who are thousand-ranged, take hold of these chariots with swift ones; restrain them for Soma to be drunk.

नि॒युत्वा॑न्वाय॒वा ग॑ह्य॒यं शु॒क्रो अ॑यामि ते । गन्ता॑सि सुन्व॒तो गृ॒हम्
niyutvānvāyavā gahyayaṃ śukro ayāmi te gantāsi sunvato gṛham
Having restrained them, take hold, O Air, this bright one I send to you. You go to the home full of sound.

śukrasyādya gavāśira indravāyū niyutvataḥ ā yātaṃ pibataṃ narā
On this auspicious day, O cows' head, Indra-Wind have bound you; drink what has come, O men.

ayaṃ vāṃ mitrāvaruṇā sutaḥ soma ṛtāvṛdhā mamediha śrutaṃ havam
This is your Mitra-Varuna, born of Soma, nourished by the Rta‑powers; this offering is heard by me here.

राजा॑ना॒वन॑भिद्रुहा ध्रु॒वे सद॑स्युत्त॒मे । स॒हस्र॑स्थूण आसाते
rājānāvanabhidruhā dhruve sadasyuttame sahasrasthūṇa āsāte
The kings, protectors of the waters, steadfast in the highest seat, they sat in a thousand places.

ता स॒म्राजा॑ घृ॒तासु॑ती आदि॒त्या दानु॑न॒स्पती॑ । सचे॑ते॒ अन॑वह्वरम्
tā samrājā ghṛtāsutī ādityā dānunaspatī sacete anavahvaram
Those sovereigns, stewards of ghee, the Adityas, lords of host, keep faithful vigil and lead the course.

O Ashvins, bring the cows, the steeds, the best horses near; Rudra moves for the king.

न यत्परो॒ नान्त॑र आद॒धर्ष॑द्वृषण्वसू । दुः॒शंसो॒ मर्त्यो॑ रि॒पुः
na yatparo nāntara ādadharṣadvṛṣaṇvasū duḥśaṃso martyo ripuḥ
Not that which was beyond nor inward did the bulls bear; the mortal enemy faulted the hard‑spoken.

ता न॒ आ वो॑ळ्हमश्विना र॒यिं पि॒शङ्ग॑संदृशम् । धिष्ण्या॑ वरिवो॒विद॑म्
tā na ā voḷhamaśvinā rayiṃ piśaṅgasaṃdṛśam dhiṣṇyā varivovidam
Those Ashvins brought near for you the realm, appearing like a shining coursing one; they bestowed upon the generous the famed wealth.

इन्द्रो॑ अ॒ङ्ग म॒हद्भ॒यम॒भी षदप॑ चुच्यवत् । स हि स्थि॒रो विच॑र्षणिः
indro aṅga mahadbhayamabhī ṣadapa cucyavat sa hi sthiro vicarṣaṇiḥ
Indra moved with a great limb like fear, as one who smites the adversary; he is steadfast, the conqueror in conflict.

इन्द्र॑श्च मृ॒ळया॑ति नो॒ न नः॑ प॒श्चाद॒घं न॑शत् । भ॒द्रं भ॑वाति नः पु॒रः
indraśca mṛḷayāti no na naḥ paścādaghaṃ naśat bhadraṃ bhavāti naḥ puraḥ
Indra does not strike us from behind with the staff; may good be before us in the dwelling.

इन्द्र॒ आशा॑भ्य॒स्परि॒ सर्वा॑भ्यो॒ अभ॑यं करत् । जेता॒ शत्रू॒न्विच॑र्षणिः
indra āśābhyaspari sarvābhyo abhayaṃ karat jetā śatrūnvicarṣaṇiḥ
Indra gave near and far refuge to all; he who conquers the enemies is the striker in battle.

विश्वे॑ देवास॒ आ ग॑त शृणु॒ता म॑ इ॒मं हव॑म् । एदं ब॒र्हिर्नि षी॑दत
viśve devāsa ā gata śaṛṇutā ma imaṃ havam edaṃ barhirni ṣīdata
All gods have come; hear, be seated for this hymn. Let this external offering be placed.

This honey-strong draught, O Sacrificer, is the envy among libations; drink it, desirable one.

Indra, the eldest, and the Marut hosts, the gods and Pushan‑helpers: all these have heard my invocation of the oblation.

ambitame nadītame devitame sarasvati apraśastā iva smasi praśastimamba naskṛdhi
O Ambitame, river‑best, goddess‑best, Sarasvatī, you who are unassailable, be praiseworthy and do not destroy our praise.

त्वे विश्वा॑ सरस्वति श्रि॒तायूं॑षि दे॒व्याम् । शु॒नहो॑त्रेषु मत्स्व प्र॒जां दे॑वि दिदिड्ढि नः
tve viśvā sarasvati śritāyūṃṣi devyām śunahotreṣu matsva prajāṃ devi didiḍḍhi naḥ
May you, Sarasvatī, protect all beings in sacred strength; in libations to the sacrificers, O goddess, grant progeny to us and bestow it.

इ॒मा ब्रह्म॑ सरस्वति जु॒षस्व॑ वाजिनीवति । या ते॒ मन्म॑ गृत्सम॒दा ऋ॑तावरि प्रि॒या दे॒वेषु॒ जुह्व॑ति
imā brahma sarasvati juṣasva vājinīvati yā te manma gṛtsamadā ṛtāvari priyā deveṣu juhvati
Give us this mighty Brahma Sarasvatī, rich in strength, which, beloved among the gods, pours my thought with truth like clarified butter.

प्रेतां॑ य॒ज्ञस्य॑ श॒म्भुवा॑ यु॒वामिदा वृ॑णीमहे । अ॒ग्निं च॑ हव्य॒वाह॑नम्
pretāṃ yajñasya śambhuvā yuvāmidā vṛṇīmahe agniṃ ca havyavāhanam
We have chosen these deceased for the sacrifice, O Shambhu; you two, young, gather them, and bring the offering‑fire and the oblation‑bearer.

द्यावा॑ नः पृथि॒वी इ॒मं सि॒ध्रम॒द्य दि॑वि॒स्पृश॑म् । य॒ज्ञं दे॒वेषु॑ यच्छताम्
dyāvā naḥ pṛthivī imaṃ sidhramadya divispṛśam yajñaṃ deveṣu yacchatām
O Heaven and Earth, make this rite firm for us today, touching the sky; grant this sacrifice among the gods.

आ वा॑मु॒पस्थ॑मद्रुहा दे॒वाः सी॑दन्तु य॒ज्ञियाः॑ । इ॒हाद्य सोम॑पीतये
ā vāmupasthamadruhā devāḥ sīdantu yajñiyāḥ ihādya somapītaye
Bring nearer to us the left‑placed deities; may the ritual priests be seated; here for drinking Soma now.
